The State Dept. Warns Against Foreign Travel

unnamedNovember 23, 2015
The U.S. state department issued an alert today, discouraging Americans from international travel, saying, “Current information suggests that ISIS, al Qaeda and Boko Haram and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions.”

However, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson urged Americans who in the U.S. to not change their plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend holiday, despite the recent terror attacks in Paris. “We have no specific credible intelligence about a threat of the Paris type directed at the homeland here,” said Johnson.

A suicide vest was found in a suburb of Paris by a street cleaner in a pile of trash. It was still intact, and discovered in the same area as the cell phone belonging to the still-at-large terror suspect. In the aftermath of the Paris attacks and following raids on Sunday evening in Brussels, only one of the 19 arrested is still being detained. The city of Brussels remains on high alert, with schools and public buildings remaining closed while authorities try to capture the terror suspect Salah Abselam.

How to Pray
: For the swift capture of the terrorist and comfort for the families of the victims of the attack. Pray also for the Lowrie family, missionaries in Belgium: their safety, courage, and that the Lord would lead them to those who are ready tot hear the Gospel.

(Isa 59:19) So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

(Mat 5:9) Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God.

President Obama Defends Strategy

The president answered questions Monday regarding his strategy to fight ISIS. He has been charged with “kicking the can down the road” and not dealing with the problem. The House Intelligence Committee, the Pentagon, and one team directed by the President are all investigating allegations that Central Command is not honestly assessing the ISIS situation. The president said on Monday “We will hunt down their leadership, dismantle their networks and their supply lines and ultimately, destroy them.” He meets on Tuesday with French President Hollande.

Why this Matters: The question is whether the President is getting bad information–that we are winning the war with ISIS in Syria and Iraq, even though we are not–or that the President has told Central Command to skew the information to match his policies.

How to Pray
: Father, there are many on-going investigations that need Your help so that the truth is told, including the ones into Hillary Clinton’s foundation, her emails, and the death of the Americans in Benghazi–plus the investigation into Planned Parenthood. We ask for justice and punishment for those who are guilty.
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Proverbs 21:3

U.S. Loses Two Soldiers in Korea

Two American pilots were killed on Monday when their Apache helicopter crashed near Fort Humphreys Army base in South Korea, about 90 miles southeast of Seoul. The U.S. Army soldiers were on a routine training mission and may have hit a steel tower or high voltage power lines.

Father, we thank You for the service of these fallen soldiers. Bless their families as they grieve. Comfort them and heal their broken hearts.
