Will Fates Change after Tomorrow’s Debate?

The field of Republican presidential candidates has remained at 14 for some time, with a lot of excitement for the top four, and then a big gap between them and the ten at the bottom.
          Will the lineup change after tomorrow’s debate? Most polls show Donald Trump leading the pack with Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Ben Carson running second, third and fourth behind him. However, one national poll for Iowa shows Cruz leading Trump in that early primary state.
          The top candidates will debate at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday night in Las Vegas. The lineup includes Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina and Rand Paul. Each of these candidates has an average of at least 3.5 percent nationally or 4 percent in Iowa or New Hampshire, which are the first states to hold primary contests. The other candidates, Huckabee, Santorum, Graham and Pataki will debate at 6 p.m.Tuesday night. The debate is sponsored by CNN and will air on that cable network.
Why this Matters: Conservative Christians are still looking for a clear candidate. Many love the way Donald Trump handles the media, saying things Americans have wanted to hear for decades, without apology and rarely backing down. It’s “The Art of the Deal,” written and played out by Mr. Trump. But now we are seven weeks away from the primaries. Mr. Trump is neither born-again (he says he has never had to repent to God for anything) nor truly conservative. He is a showman not a statesman. If this is not our choice for President, we need to look closely at the other top contenders and hear their answers for how they would lead us into the future.
How to Pray: We ask for a good forum, excellent questions, and that the man or woman of Your choosing would emerge from this electoral process and be elected President. We pray for our elected officials that You direct those who hold power in government that we might live in peace.

(1 Tim 2:1-2) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
