Brits Serve European Union with Divorce

British Prime Minister Theresa May signed a historic six-page letter restoring “self-determination” to the UK on Tuesday evening and formalizing “Brexit,” their withdrawal from the European Union. The letter was delivered to European Council president Donald Tusk in Brussels on Wednesday afternoon.

May’s letter included a warning the EU not to punish Britain for their withdrawal from that governing body, and called for a free trade agreement. The UK will officially leave at midnight on March 29, 2019.

The British pound sterling soared as news reached the financial markets.

Why this Matters: This is really good news for the people of Britain who had been citizens of a Union where they have no voice at all. The European Union governs from Brussels, Belgium, without having been elected by the people. The Brits have had enough, and voted over the summer to exit the EU, thus the term “Brexit.” The people of Scotland are said to be against Brexit and may vote to remain in the EU.

Anti-Abortion Filmakers Charged

California prosecutors have charged two anti-abortion activists with 15 felonies related to the invasion of privacy. The two made undercover videos of themselves trying to buy fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood personnel.

Similar charges were made against David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress eight months ago in Texas, but the charges were dropped.

Daleiden claims that these latest charges are “bogus” and coming from the political allies of Planned Parenthood.

The earlier charges in Texas were eventually dropped after a grand jury that was supposed to be investigating Planned Parenthood turned around and charged Daleiden instead. Prosecutors dropped the charges, saying the grand jury had overstepped its authority.

Why this Matters: In a new undercover video, a former Planned Parenthood abortionist discusses how she performs abortions on healthy 24-week old fetuses. “It’s not a matter of how I feel about it coming out intact, but I got to worry about my staff,” claimed the abortionist, “and people’s feelings about it coming out looking like a baby.”

How to Pray: That God would be the judge on this issue and work through our courts. Pray that this story gets lots of play on the internet, and that God would speak life to mothers who are considering an abortion.

News from the Capitol

  • George Soros is on Six Senators’ Hit List

Six senators want George Soros’ Open Society Foundation investigated for causing trouble for U.S. allies. Senators Mike Lee (R-UT), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Thom Thillis (R-NC), Ted Cruz (R-TX), David Perdue (R-GA), and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) sent a letter to Secretary of State Tillerson asking that all funds associated with promoting democracy and governance in foreign lands be reviewed.

Their letter suggests that Soros-funded groups are inciting political unrest, disrespecting national sovereignty and civil society, and undermining U.S. attempts to build beneficial international relationships with other countries. The latest nation of concern is Macedonia, where they believe Soros influenced the political process.

According to Judicial Watch, the U.S. State Department gave Soros’ groups $5 million in taxpayer dollars from 2012 to 2015; another $9.5 million is earmarked for those same groups for the period 2016-2021.

Also worthy of investigation: The Federal Reserve Bank. The Fed sets interest rates and help implement monetary policy for the U.S. Its governors are unelected appointees of the president, and confirmed by the Senate.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee passed a bill on Tuesday to fully audit the Fed. Similar legislation was passed in 2012 and 2014 but it died in the Senate. Democrats are opposed to the audit, saying they do not want to harm the Fed’s independence.

The Fed has kept rates artificially low for a long time, and according to Rep. Massie (R-KY), the U.S. dollar has lost 95 percent of its value since the Fed was created by Congress in 1913. He also believes the Fed is part of the D.C. “swamp,” and what is going on behind the scenes regarding monetary policy should be exposed.

Continue praying for the President and his conservative agenda items. Pray that everything that’s evil and hidden will come to light.

John 3:20 – For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
