The Anniversary of 4 Rulings that Changed America

Sunday and Monday mark the anniversary of some of the most pivotal decisions in U.S history. Except for the passage of Roe v. Wade that made abortion legal ion January 22, 1973, these anti-God, anti-Christ rulings all occurred on June 25 or 26.

  1. June 25, 1962 – Ruling that took prayer out of schools, because it was a “violation of the First Amendment” that prohibits government from establishing a religion.
  2. June 26, 2003 – Decision that overturned all anti-sodomy laws. Most states had already removed anti-sodomy laws, but this invalidated sodomy laws in remaining 14 states because it violated a person’s right to privacy.
  3. June 26, 2013 – Decision that overturned the defense of marriage act. The Court found defining marriage as between one man and one woman unconstitutional because it deprives a person of liberty, which is protected under 5th amendment.
  4. June 26, 2015 – Ruling that made homosexual marriage legal.
Why this Matters: As you look at these four rulings, it’s easy to see why prayer had to be the first to go so Satan could accomplish the rest. Since that time, the space between has gotten shorter and the rulings have become more sinister. How long will it be before the Bible becomes hate speech?
Justice Anthony Kennedy, who has been on the Court for 30 years, is rumored to be retiring soon. He has been the swing vote, and normally sides with the Leftists. If President Trump has the opportunity to fill his vacancy, it may be that he will choose another strict constitutionalist (who is not looking to rewrite the constitution with liberal rulings).
How to Pray: Father, Jesus said that we would be hated by all men for His Name’s sake, and increasingly we are being labeled as “haters” because we stand for what is right. Help us to stay strong and not falter. We ask You to execute righteous judgment and shift the composition of the Court toward godly rulings.

Have mercy on the servants You put in office and continue to protect them. The ones that are wicked and have evil in their hearts continually, we ask that they be exposed and removed. Please stir up Your Church to intercede with vigor and persistence. Prune us so that we rightly represent the Lord and establish Your kingdom on earth. Make us faithful to stand against everything that is anti-Christ, we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
