Lawmakers Demand Prosecution of Hillary, Comey, Others

Attorney General Jeff Sessions received a letter from eleven Congressmen asking him to prosecute Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, and others. The letter was also addressed to FBI Director Chris Wray and U.S. Attorney John Huber. It asks for an “investigation of potential violation(s) of federal statutes.”

Note: Huber was appointed by Sessions to investigate GOP claims of FBI misconduct. He and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz can fully investigate allegations of FISA abuse and have subpoena power.

Those referred for criminal charges are:

Hillary Clinton for potential violations of election law when she ordered and secretly paid for the Steele dossier that implicated Trump in colluding with the Russians to sway the election.

Former FBI Director James Comey for obstruction, perjury, corruption, stealing public property or records, gathering, transmitting, or losing defense information, unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents, false statements

Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe for making false statements, perjury, and obstruction. A report by the Inspector General was released Friday, confirming that Andrew McCabe lied four times–three times under oath. His “lack of candor” was the basis for being terminated.

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch for obstruction and corruption. She was also referred for threatening an employee who came forward to report on the Uranium One deal.

Former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and Former Acting Attorney General Dana Boente for presenting false and/or unverified information to the FISA court.

FBI official Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page for interfering in the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server and the presentation of false and/or unverified information. Strzok and Page worked with Robert Mueller on the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, but were demoted because of their extreme anti-Trump bias. This and the fact that Obama communicated through Hillary’s illegal server was revealed in their texts.

Dossier backstory: False, salacious information against Donald Trump was created by British ex-spy Christopher Steele and put into a “dossier.” The dossier was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC and used to secure a FISA warrant on members of Trump’s team. She hid the payments by running them through the Perkins Coie law firm. These warrants are only supposed to be used against foreigners. The dossier became the basis for the Trump-Russia collusion allegation, which then became an investigation under Robert Mueller.

Mueller was appointed by Rod Rosenstein, Deputy Director at the FBI. This came after allegations that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had dealings with Russians. Whether it was a plan to step down, or because of for appearance’s sake, Sessions recused himself from the investigation. That put Rosenstein in charge.

The letter also demands that Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein be recused from any examination of FISA abuse. The lawsmakers specify that neither Huber nor a special counsel, if one is appointed, should report to Rosenstein. Additionally:

  • House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has already told Sessions that FBI and DOJ leaders used the Steele dossier to obtain the warrant on former Trump aide Carter Page. Because the dossier was unverified and/or contained false information, the lawmakers want all involved to be criminally charged.
  • The letter also notes the dissimilar degrees of zealousness that has marked the investigations into Clinton and Trump.
  • Comey and McCabe are turning on each other. Comey
confirmed that he started the investigation that led to McCabe’s firing; McCabe said he disclosed to his former boss that Comey was leaking classified information to the media.

Why this Matters: The signers of the letter should be hailed and thanked. This is what needed to happen and it requires a good amount of bravery to go against the Deep State/Cabal as they have. These heroes are:

Ron DeSantis (R-FL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Dave Brat (R-VA), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Andy Harris (R-MD), Jody Hice (R-GA), Todd Rokita (R-IN), Claudia Tenney (R-NY), Ted Yoho (R-FL)

How to Pray: That Huber and the IG will do a thorough job, that the details of all of these illegal acts will be exposed. Pray that it will be so damning that even Trump haters will want these people prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

California Governor Jerry Brown said on Wednesday that he would accept money from the federal government to deploy National Guard troops to various locations, but stated he would but not enforce federal immigration law.

In a letter to Homeland Security and the Secretary of Defense, Brown said:

“Your funding for new staffing will allow the Guard to do what it does best: support operations targeting transnational criminal gangs, human traffickers and illegal firearm and drug smugglers … [but] It will not be a mission to round up women and children or detain people escaping violence and seeking a better life. And the California National Guard will not be enforcing federal immigration laws.”

As many as 4,000 National Guard troops from various states will be sent to the border, but will not interact with illegals.

In March, Attorney General Jeff Sessions filed a lawsuit against California’s “sanctuary state” laws. It targets three laws:

  • Immigrant Worker Protection Act (HB 450)
  • Inspection and Review of Facilities Housing Federal Detainees law (AB 103)
  • California Values Act (SB 54)

The lawsuit argues that under the Supremacy Clause, which states that federal law “shall be the supreme Law of the Land, California’s laws are unconstitutional.

Sessions stated, “There is no nullification. There is no secession. Federal law is ‘the supreme law of the land.’ I would invite any doubters to Gettysburg, and to the graves of John C. Calhoun and Abraham Lincoln.”

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tweeted her response:

“The people of California will not be bowed by the Trump Administration’s brazen aggression and intimidation tactics. We will fight this sham lawsuit and will fight all cowardly attacks on our immigrant communities.”

Why this Matters: The people of California are getting more vociferous in their demands that the state follow federal law. A dozen communities (the number grows every week) have voted not to comply with sanctuary policies.

Pray for law-abiding Californians to stay strong! Pray that the governor of CA and other “sanctuary” states will capitulate and follow federal law. Pray the wall will be built and our borders will be secure.

Pompeo Faces Stiff Opposition, Even After Meeting with Kim Jong-un

On Thursday, the President verified that Mike Pompeo met with Kim Jong-un over the Easter weekend, yet some in the Senate are pushing back against his confirmation as Secretary of State. The President was asked about Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), who says he will vote against Pompeo. Trump replied, “I will say this about Rand Paul… he’s a very special guy. He’s never let me down.”

Trump said on Wednesday he will be meeting with Kim in the coming weeks to discuss the denuclearization of the peninsula. He said, “It will be a tremendous thing for North Korea, and a tremendous thing for the world.”

Pompeo represented Kansas in Congress before becoming CIA Director. He graduated first in his class at West Point, and also first in his class from Harvard Law School. He went to North Korea to lay the groundwork for denuclearization talks. Many Senators were angry about the trip, saying Pompeo should have let them know he was going and shared insights with them.

Why this Matters: Trump has had a very difficult time getting his nominees confirmed. What kind of message would it send to North Korea and the rest of the world if Trump’s choice to negotiate were voted down?

Pray for Pompeo’s confirmation to happen quickly and that he would have a solid vote. Pray for the upcoming talks.

Ps. 50:23 – Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
