The Looney Left is Losing it

The sheer volume of hypocrisy, double-speak, and perverse thinking from those on the Left makes up the bulk of this week’s news. The President and conservatives are being attacked from every corner, almost as though it were the last salvo in a bloodless civil war.

1. The most dangerous front is led by special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into alleged collusion between President Trump and the Russians. Because there is no evidence, the special counsel is now looking into a charge that Trump obstructed justice.

On Monday, the New York Times published a list of 49 questions that Mueller wants Trump to answer. The list was supposedly given by Mueller to Trump’s lawyers, and then it was leaked. They are questions like:

  • When did you first learn about Russian hacking during the election (even though Russian hacking is unproven)
  • What were your motives for firing FBI Director Comey? (which is lawful)
  • What did you think and do about Mr. Comey’s May 3, 2017, testimony?

Former U.S. attorney Joe Di Genova called the questions about Comey’s firing “an outrageous, sophomoric, juvenile intrusion into the President’s unfettered power to fire anyone in the executive branch.”

On Wednesday, the President’s lawyers added Emmet Flood to their team. According to an unnamed source quoted in the Daily Beast, “Mueller finally has somebody who’s his match… You’ve got a fair fight now.” The source added that there’s no chance Flood will let the President sit for an interview with Mueller.

2. At the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the award for outstanding journalism was given to CNN for their investigative reporting on the unverified Trump dossier. But it looks like instead of investigation, CNN should be exposed for its own form of collusion. Consider this:

  • The phony dossier was not newsworthy until the briefing in which FBI Director Comey gave the unverified piece of fiction to the President-elect and that fact was leaked to CNN. Next, CNN reported on the briefing, which gave the dossier legitimacy. Then, Buzz Feed published the entire dossier, which was picked up by other media, and that’s how it became mainstream.
  • One of the CNN reporters for that story was Evan Perez. He should have disclosed his special relationship to the dossier’s creator: Fusion GPS. Fusion was founded by two of Perez’s former colleagues; Fusion brokered the deal that put the dossier together and got it published. Perez’s pals got the Clinton campaign to pay for it and hired Christopher Steele to write it.
  • The award presenter said because of the CNN investigation, “the dossier is now part of the lexicon.” In fact, without a leak and CNN’s collusion with Obama intelligence officials (see below) to introduce the dossier and give it weight, there would never have been a Trump-Russia investigation.
  • James Clapper, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, was the one who instructed Comey to deliver the phony dossier to the President-elect. After the story was published, CNN hired James Clapper as an analyst. Payback?
Comey repeatedly testified about his briefing to the President-elect that it was his “assignment” to deliver the dossier to Trump.
  • Clapper testified before the House that he discussed the dossier with CNN’s Jake Tapper, who was on the team that broke the story. Clapper has now denied this part of his testimony, which should put him in trouble with Congress. However, Clapper has lied before and there has been no backlash.
  • Former CIA head John Brennan was at the briefing. NBC hired him as a security analyst. More payback?
  • Now we find out that Comey often removed sensitive national security documents (classified) from FBI headquarters and stored them at his home. This is according to high-ranking FBI officials. Besides breaking a number of federal laws, this explains why Comey wouldn’t charge Hillary, who kept a private email server.

3. The House Freedom Caucus of conservatives has drafted eight articles of impeachment against Rod Rosenstein, the deputy at the DOJ in charge of the Trump investigation. They accuse him of abusing his authority by renewing a FISA warrant on Carter Page, a Trump campaign aide. Rosenstein ridiculed the members and said it was an “extortion attempt.”

Rep. Mark Meadows, a member of the Freedom Caucus tweeted: “If he believes being asked to do his job is ‘extortion,’ then Rod Rosenstein should step aside and allow us to find a new Deputy Attorney General–preferably one who is interested in transparency.”

Why this Matters: The investigation began with a “dossier” that was unverified and paid for by the Clinton team and Democratic National Committee. The warrants to surveil the Trump team were granted under false pretenses. The warrants were sought by Trump-hating DOJ employees who had a personal relationship with one of the FISA judges.

Eventually, the lies and leaks and mishandling of the law will catch up with them. We have to outlast the enemy of truth and continue to pray and believe. Let’s not become weary in well-doing.

How to Pray: Pray for on the side of truth that we will have strength, courage, and faith in God, who is not mocked.

Gal. 6:9 – And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Three stories of lunacy from Hollywood

1. Comedian Michelle Wolf was the speaker at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and delivered a vulgar, profanity-laced attack on the administration. She was praised by her peers for “staying true to herself,” celebrated on late night TV, and criticized by a small number for three particular attacks on Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Vice President, and babies in the womb.

  • Wolf called Sanders an “Uncle Tom, but for white women who disappoint other white women.”
  • About Vice President Pence, she said, “He thinks abortion is murder which, first of all, don’t knock it ’til you try it– and when you do try it, really knock it. You know, you’ve got to get that baby out of there.”

2. Kathy Griffin recants her apology. Kathy Griffin was forced to apologize last year after releasing a video where she held a bloodied mock-up of the President’s decapitated head. She was investigated by the FBI for two months and said she had been “through the mill.” On Monday, she took back her apology, using language that is not fit to print.

3. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) blasted Rapper Kanye West for his tweet in support of the President. He said, “the mob cannot make me not love him… We have the right to independent thought.”

Maxine responded, West “talks out of turn perhaps sometimes he needs some assistance in helping him to formulate some of his thoughts.” She added “we don’t think that he actually means to do harm, but we’re not sure he really understands the impact of what he’s saying… And I think maybe he should think twice about politics, and maybe not have much to say.”

Why this Matters: West met with Trump at Trump Tower during the transition. Immediately afterwards, he had a breakdown and was hospitalized. He called it the scariest moment of his life. The Left is using this episode to explain-away West’s support of the President.

How to Pray: That the Left would keep it up and become such lunatics that the mainstream Americans would be repulsed by their words and actions. Pray that people like Maxine Waters and other Trump-hating lawmakers will be defeated in the 2018 elections.

Three U.S Citizens Freed!

North Korea announced they have freed three U.S. citizens who had been detained inside labor camps. Secretary of State Pompeo made this a condition of the upcoming meeting between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Pompeo met with Kim over the Easter weekend.

The three men, Kim Dong-chul, Kim Sang-duk and Kim Hak-song were accused of hostile acts and imprisoned in 2017. They have now been moved to a North Korea hotel where they are receiving medical treatment.

According to a 2016 report by Human Rights Watch, there is systematic abuse at these labor camps, including meager food rations, no medical care, lack of proper housing and clothing, sexual assault, torture, and public executions.

Continue to pray for a successful meeting and that North Koreans will soon be free.

Other News:

  • Boy Scouts will no longer be called “Boy” Scouts so they can be more inclusive.
President Trump was nominated by a group of House Republicans for the Nobel Peace Prize.
  • Another military plane crashed on Wednesday. Five people were killed after a National Guard C-130 crashed near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Georgia. President Trump was photographed sitting under the same plane during a meeting in Puerto Rico in 2017.

What a tragedy! When you see a soldier, airman, marine, law enforcement officer, etc., or a veteran, be sure to thank them for their service.

May God comfort. the families who lost a loved one. Pray for our military to find the reasons for so many accidents in the past two years, and implement procedures to end them.

John 15:13 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
