Democrats Still Counting (Finding) Votes

Ballots continue to be found and recount deadlines are missed from last week’s midterm election. Democrats are insisting that every vote matters, and their attorneys are demanding that ballots filled out by non-citizens and other ineligible voters be counted. Key races in three states were up for grabs, even this week.

Florida Republicans Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis easily won their gubernatorial and Senate races. But just hours after their wins were declared, the Democrat Election Supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach counties began “finding” thousands of additional ballots. By Saturday, Scott’s lead fell from 83,000 to 12,562. DeSantis’ lead fell by tens of thousands also.

Broward Election Supervisor Brenda Snipes reported that 634,000 votes were cast; then a few days later reported the total was actually 717,000. In the Broward machine recount, which was completed on Thursday, Snipes’ office missed the deadline by two minutes. That disqualified it, and now they must conduct a manual recount.

Rick Scott’s campaign has accused Snipes’ office of intentionally submitting that late recount.

Florida elections officials said Gov. Scott increased his lead over Senator Bill Nelson in the first machine recount.

The President called for Bill Nelson to concede a week after the election, saying, “When will Bill Nelson concede in Florida? The characters running Broward and Palm Beach voting will not be able to ‘find’ enough votes, too much spotlight on them now!”

Trump was referring to these anomalies:

  • Rental trucks showed up at Snipes’ office with blank ballots
  • Other ballots were found in the trunk of a car
  • A teacher in a Miramar elementary school found a box of provisional ballots in a classroom
  • In 2016, Snipes was found to have illegally destroyed thousands of uncounted ballots, secretly opening mail ballots, sending voters too many ballot pages, and leaving questions off the ballot
  • One week and a day after the election, Snipes still hadn’t begun the recount because she said her workers were still separating the front page from the rest of the ballot
The Democratic National Committee sent a team of lawyers in who are fighting to preserve the votes of non-citizens, and there are a total of six election-related lawsuits pending.

DeSantis (R) Defeats Gillum (D)

Breaking on Thursday night: Republican Ron DeSantis has won the governor’s race, defeating Andrew Gillum, who only gained one vote in the recount.

Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher says 11-year-old equipment has overheated, causing problems and that’s why recounts didn’t match the original tallies–affecting about 174,000 early votes.

US District Judge Mark Walker rejected a request to extend the deadlines and said the state law on recounts violates a 2000 Supreme Court ruling related to the Bush-Gore election. “We have been the laughingstock of the world, election after election, and we chose not to fix this,” Walker said.

Another issue concerns 4,000 mail-in ballots had been set aside because signatures didn’t match what was on file. Walker ordered that voters be given until 5 p.m. Saturday to show a valid ID and have their ballots counted.

The Florida election will not be certified until Tuesday.

Screen Shot 2018-11-15 at 8.37.45 PMIn Georgia, gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams improved her position when a judge appointed by Obama ruled ballots that are still trickling in can be counted. Abrams is 17,000 votes behind Republican Brian Kemp, who has already declared his victory. Some ballots were cast by people who aren’t registered to vote, or voted in the wrong county.

US District Judge Steve Jones ruled that Georgia counties cannot certify election results until they count absentee ballots that were previously rejected because the voter’s date of birth is missing or incorrect.
Almost half of the provisional ballots submitted in Fulton County, a Democrat stronghold, were duplicates, and 42 percent of the total provisionals were rejected.
Leading Democrats, including Hillary, are claiming that if Abrams doesn’t win, the election was “stolen.”

The Georgia race will be certified next Wednesday.

In Arizona, a close race between Democrat Kyrsten Sinema and former Navy fighter pilot Martha McSally has gone to Sinema. The votes did not follow logic. Consider this:

Republican governor Doug Ducey won re-election by 328,000 votes, yet most voters split the ticket to also vote for Liberal-Leftist Democrat Sinema for Senate. She was declared the winner on Monday.

According to the New York Times, Democrats have gained 33 House seats so far and “appear on track to gain between 35 to 40 once all the counting is complete.”

Notably, six out of ten House races are on the verge of being flipped due to provisional ballots–those ballots given to people who can’t prove they are eligible to vote.

Why this Matters: A judge ruled in January that he would not prolong “consent decree,” which was a punishment of the GOP stemming from a 1982 court case. The lawsuit alleged that Republicans worked to suppress Black votes, and the consent decree restricted the Republican National Committee from participating in ballot security measures.

Now the Republican National Committee will be free to pursue efforts to purge voter rolls nationwide, removing voters who no longer live in the area or have died.

This ruling was made one week after President Trump disbanded a voter fraud commission that had been established to look into the 2016 election. Many states refused to turn over their election data.

So the question becomes: What if Trump knew this election fraud was coming and prepared for it? He warned Democrats before the election that voter fraud wouldn’t be tolerated. Could he have put everything in place in order to catch them in the act?

Conversely, did Democrats use this election as a “stress test,” to see if these fraud schemes can also be used in 2020? The other tactic is to name your opponents racists, homophobes, misogynists, etc., to cover over the fact that your party has either no platform, or a platform that doesn’t appeal to voters.

Also under scrutiny is the Mueller investigation into Trump-Russia collusion. First, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was replaced by acting AG Matthew Whitaker–who has publicly stated his problems with the scope of the probe and the fact that Hillary got away with using an illegal server.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) met with Whitaker on Thursday. Graham says Whitaker assured him he has no plans to fire Mueller. Graham has also co-authored legislation protecting the investigation.

Senate Democrats want to contest Whitaker’s appointment, saying he was not confirmed by the Senate. However, regulations permit this type of temporary appointment, which is not to exceed 210 days. Whitaker previously served as Chief of Staff to Jeff Sessions.

Why this Matters: Whitaker is not recused from supervising ongoing investigations, including Hillary’s illegal server which she used to transfer classified information to foreign governments, including the Chinese. He will also be able to prosecute the crimes that will be exposed when the President de-classifies the FISA warrant applications. Those documents will implicate the former president and members of his cabinet, plus top officials at the DOJ and FBI in illegal spying on the Trump campaign. Think of it as Watergate x1000.

How to Pray: For the faithful to keep on keeping on! Let’s not be weary in well-doing and trust the Lord no matter what plans the wicked put forth. Pray that the President will persevere appointing conservative judges (there are 26 new nominees) and have wisdom and discernment as he pushes forward. Thank God for His wonderful works and that He judges rightly on behalf of the oppressed. His mercy endures forever!

Ps. 10:17-18 – LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

James 5:4 – Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
