Pile of ladders used by illegals to climb border fence between US and Mexico
This has been a tough week for conservatives.
1. First, we were treated to the second round of testimony before a congressional committee by James Comey, a man who leaked to the press and has repeatedly lied about his actions as former FBI Director and his conversations with the President.
Comey spent six hours being grilled by GOP lawmakers regarding the illegal server operated by Hillary Clinton, her missing 30,000 emails, the illegal spying on Trump and his associates, and other matters. The former director gave few helpful answers, but he did take the opportunity later in front of news cameras to defend the FBI, tear down the President, and mock the Republicans.
2. Next, we learned that the State Department is giving $10.6 billion to Mexico and Central America to help stem migration, leaving many Americans scratching their heads. The plan’s aim is to promote better security conditions and job opportunities so that Central Americans and Mexicans can remain in their countries and not emigrate.
This was accompanied by the announcement by Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen that any illegals entering from Mexico will be returned to Mexico. Anyone claiming asylum in the US will stay in Mexico for the duration of their immigration proceedings. Those who are not eventually granted asylum will be removed to their home countries.
Walls work, according to GOP headquarters. They report that illegal traffic has dropped 92% in San Diego, 95% in El Paso, 90% in Tucson, and 95% in Yuma where barriers were built. However, some lawmakers adamantly stand against border security. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) has proposed a bill to prohibit taxpayer funds from being used to build the wall.
Trump tweeted this on Wednesday,
“Mexico is paying (indirectly) for the Wall through the new USMCA, the replacement for NAFTA! Far more money coming to the US. Because of the tremendous dangers at the Border, including large scale criminal drug inflow, the United Sates Military will build the Wall!
He may be planning to use the large military spending bill that has been passed to build the wall if Congress won’t fund it.
3. The fake news media says Trump is to blame for falling stock prices. The President won’t sign any bill to fund the government that doesn’t include money for border security. The federal government’s spending allowance runs out at midnight on Friday. Late Thursday, the House passed a bill giving Trump $5 billion for the wall. It still has to pass the Senate, which is said to be unlikely.
The Fed announced it will raise rates from 2.25 to 2.5, a much more likely explanation for the market loss of 1,400 points this week.
4. Thursday was a big day for 12 illegals, who were favored in a ruling by Judge Emmett Sullivan. He is the same Judge who on Tuesday accused Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn of treason before recognizing he had made a mistake and apologizing.
- On Thursday, Sullivan ruled that a Justice Department policy under Trump was “arbitrary, capricious, and in violation of immigration laws.” The policy kept out asylum seekers who claimed they were being threatened in their homeland by domestic and gang violence.
- Therefore, Sullivan ruled in favor of the 12 deported illegals whose case was filed by the ACLU and the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies. Because of the Judge’s ruling, the US taxpayers will fund the search for these illegals and their return to the US, as well as any others who have been turned away for the same reason.
- These people will now be given asylum and released into the US until their court dates–which are generally two or three years down the road. The problem is that most don’t return for their hearings, and disappear into the US.
5. The Left has a counter for every good deed. A GoFundMe account to fund the border wall was set up by a US veteran who is a triple-amputee. After only three days, the account has more than $5 million. As good as that sounds, there are several concerns:
- GoFundMe is run by a Liberal/Leftist group that takes up to 10 percent of the proceeds.
- Newsweek is reporting that a GoFundMe account has also been set up to purchase ladders to help illegals climb the wall. More than $24,000 was raised the first day.
6. The Flynn hearing was another head-scratcher for conservatives, who have been pulling for Lt. General Michael Flynn since he was fired from the White House soon after Trump’s inauguration. The trouble stems from a call Flynn–who was National Security Adviser–had with Sergei Kislyak, Russian Ambassador to the US. It was secretly recorded by US intelligence agencies.
- FBI Director James Comey sent agents to question Flynn about the phone call, which was entirely “legal” and part of his job as Trump adviser. The agents were instructed to persuade Flynn to talk without his lawyer. They had a transcript of the call and caught Flynn in a misstatement. He later pleaded guilty to one count of lying to the FBI. Flynn was to be sentenced for this crime on Tuesday.
- Judge Emmett Sullivan accused Flynn of acting as an agent for Turkey at the time of his employment by Trump, and used the word treason. Liberal media outlets ran with the headline that Flynn was accused of treason.
- Afterwards, the details were sorted out and the Judge apologized. Flynn stopped working for Turkey two months before working for Trump.
- Sullivan also thought the FBI had mishandled the interview with Flynn and gave Flynn every opportunity to vacate his guilty plea, but Flynn refused. The sentencing was then postponed until March 13, or later.
The Q angle: According to Trump insider Q, Lt. General Flynn, who is a decorated war hero and 33 Army veteran, took a “rubber bullet” for the team. As long as the case drags out, Flynn can continue to be involved. He has already talked to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators for more than 60 hours.
While serving in the Army, Michael Flynn had a key role in shaping US counterterrorism strategy and dismantling insurgent networks. He had special senior intelligence assignments. He also served President Obama from July 2012 to August 2014 as Director of National Intelligence. Q says about Flynn:
- He knows where the bodies are buried
- He is safe. “We protect our patriots”
- He will be cleared of all charges
A report by the Republican-controlled House came out in April stating that the agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe he was lying. By pleading guilty to something untrue, Flynn gets his testimony on the record. The media interest in Flynn helps keep a laser pointer on the the investigation.
Interestingly, FBI Director Christopher Wray just finished touring all 56 FBI field. Was he preparing his foot soldiers for the 65,000 (as some have reported) indictments that they will soon have to execute?
Why this Matters: Imagine if instead of going after Trump, the entire Robert Mueller investigation is really being used to bring down the greatest criminal cabal in US history. Q has hinted that when Mueller was interviewed by Trump for the position of FBI Director, it was a cover–and the relentless pursuit of Trump associates is staged to hide the actual investigation of the Clintons, Obama, and their associates.
The new Senate will be sworn-in on January 3 with a solid majority of 53 to 47. This majority is necessary to protect the President, because the Democrat-controlled House is sure to try and impeach Trump.
How to Pray: God help us because we cannot help ourselves. Forgive us for electing criminals to public office. Forgive us for being uninformed and ignorant about the enemy’s devices. Surround us with Your protection, give us discernment and wisdom. Help us to live the love, mercy, and grace You showed us through the gift of Your only begotten Son. Amen.
