Christian Teen is Hero in Racist Attack

Make no mistake, the Fake News media and its darlings in Hollywood and DC want nothing more than to make God’s people the unforgivable enemy. Too bad they failed–at least this time. Hallelujah! Their latest attempt to paint Christian teens as arrogant racists has fallen flat on its face.

The Set-up:

Last Friday was the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and the annual “day of prayer for the legal protection of unborn children,” when hundreds of thousands descend on the nation’s capital for a peaceful March for Life.

Other groups were also in DC, including Native Americans who came for an indigenous peoples march, and a group of Black Hebrew Israelites.

The trouble started at the Lincoln Memorial, where pro-life high school students were waiting for their busses, and a tense racial situation arose. Someone filmed it and released a partial video, which seemed to show a Trump-supporting teen “disrespecting” a Native American elder, and it became a nearly successful mission to destroy a white Christian teen.

Let’s look at the truth.

The Players:

Black Hebrew Israelites, who believe that they are descendants of the ancient Israelites and mix strains of Christianity with Freemasonry, Mind Power, Theosophy, Judaism, and the occult, began taunting a group of boys from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. Keep in mind that some BHI factions are so extreme and violent, racist, misogynistic, and anti-Semitic, they’ve been classified as a hate group.

Some of the boys were wearing Trump/MAGA hats (which one BHI member said is a form of the KKK hood). When the abuse from the BHI became intolerably vile, the boys asked their school chaperones if they could shout the school cheer to “drown out the hate.” They were given permission and did so.

A Native American activist named Nathan Phillips, 64, saw what went on, but says it was the boys who were intimidating the BHI members. He pushed his way in front of one of the boys, Nick Sandmann, beating his war drum in his face while chanting. Sandmann, a junior from Covington, stood completely still and smiled, hoping that if he showed respect, the ranting and drumming would stop.

The Lies:

That smile is what got Nick in trouble. It was labeled a “smirk,” a “sneer,” and a symbol of “white privilege.” Hollywood, the Fake News, Democrats, and even some conservatives reacted instantly to condemn him. They called for a mass shooting at the school, for the school to be burned down with the kids inside, for Sandmann to be punched in the face, and that he and his classmates should be run through a shredder.

On the other hand, Nathan Phillips was heralded a hero–a Native American elder and Vietnam veteran. Again, Fake News didn’t check their facts. Phillips was in the Marines but did not go to Vietnam. He was AWOL three times! Even during interviews, Phillips didn’t correct their statements. He also lied, saying the boys intimidated him, wanting to rip him apart.

The Intimidation:

The Catholic diocese bought the narrative and didn’t check facts either. The school came out with a stern rebuke for the teens, and even when the full video was released in which there was no way to mistake the incident, Bishop Roger Foys said they would be taking corrective actions with the students and had ordered an independent investigation.

The school had to close on Tuesday because they received hundreds of threats.

The Today Show interviewed Sandmann, asking if he could see his own fault in the incident. He replied that he respects the Native American elder and wishes he “could have walked away and avoided the whole thing.” Sandmann thought he’d diffuse the situation by smiling, standing respectfully, and silently praying.

After hearing Sandmann’s interview, Phillips claimed the boy “stole my narrative.”

The Repercussions:

  • Covington parents say they will pull their kids out of an upcoming confirmation ceremony next week unless Bishop Foys apologizes to the students.
  • Lawsuits are being considered by the parents against media outlets who initially picked up and promoted the false story.
  • The Kentucky prosecutor’s office has opened several investigations into Twitter users who made terror threats against the high school. A dozen law enforcement agencies are involved.

The President weighed in on the situation with this tweet:

“Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington have become symbols of Fake News and how evil it can be. They have captivated the attention of the world, and I know they will use it for the good – maybe even to bring people together. It started off unpleasant, but can end in a dream!”

President Trump has invited Sandmann and other Covington students to meet with him at the White House.

Why this Matters: This is how lives are ruined. Thank God the truth has come out! Praise God for this young man’s faith and maturity.

How to Pray: May the Lord restore these lives and reputations fully. Pray also for the Democrats to be willing to end the shutdown. Pray for those who are working without a paycheck.

Ps. 144:11-12 – Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
