Can You Imagine the Outcry if Republicans did This?

Elijah Cummings is pulling some dirty tricks on Republicans. As new chair of House Oversight and Reform Committee, Cummings has begun taking actions and making decisions outside of the knowledge of the Republican members of the Committee.

Jim Jordan (R-OH), the top Republican under Cummings, called him out for the following actions, taken without their knowledge:

  • Changing the name of the committee from Oversight and Government Reform to just Oversight and Reform (so they can spread their influence beyond government?)
  • Launching an investigation into the security clearances of members of the Trump administration
  • Scheduling committee hearings
  • Sending letters to 12 pharmaceutical companies about drug prices
  • Calling for Michael Cohen to testify. Cohen is Trump’s former attorney who is going to prison for lying to Congress (they want a convicted liar to testify?)
  • Eliminating the rule that a member of the committee must be present at the deposition of a witness

The GOP members didn’t know the extent of Cummings’ actions until seeing the stories on CNN.

Rep. Jordan told Cummings at their first hearing, “Abusing our oversight authority by running partisan investigations intended to embarrass the administration should not be what this committee is about.”

This Just Happened Regarding “Collusion” Investigation

The judge ruling on the sentencing for former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort announced he would delay. No explanation was given. The same action was taken against former Trump National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. This suggests the truth about the phony allegations are about to be exposed and the judges won’t rule until that happens.

The Belarusian “sex coach” who claimed to have secret information on Russia’s attempts to sway the 2016 election now says she made it up to attract media attention to save her life while she was being imprisoned in Thailand.

Other News:

Trump donated $100,000 from his third quarter 2018 salary to alcoholism research.

Rhode Island’s governor is the latest to vow she will push for legalized abortion up until the moment of birth. Eight states now allow unrestricted abortions—with New York being the latest. Virginia Democrats are next in line, trying to pass a similar law.

Where is she? We haven’t seen Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg for 54 days—except for a video of an unidentifiable person in a sweat suit getting into a car. Ginsburg, 85, is said to be working from home while recovering from cancer surgery, broken ribs, and pneumonia.

A key House committee is hoping to strike the words “so help me God” from oaths taken by witnesses during congressional hearings, as well as changing “his or her” to “their.”

Democrats voted to allow hats being worn during session so that newly elected Muslims can wear hijabs.

Stacey Abrams will deliver the Democrat response to the State of the Union address on February 5th. Abrams lost the governor’s race in Georgia but still hasn’t conceded and is instead suing, charging voter suppression. Abrams will be the first person ever who is not holding office to deliver the rebuttal since the tradition began in 1966.

The response will be given in Spanish by CA Attorney General Xavier Becerra, noted for suing the Trump administration dozens of times. As chair of the House Democratic Caucus in 2017, Becerra hired Pakistani Imran Awan, who stole tech equipment and thousands of files and likely turned them over to Pakistani intelligence.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was under investigation following allegations of sexual misconduct by Christine Blasey Ford and others, has been completely exonerated.

California’s Pacific Gas & Electric has filed for bankruptcy protection after being blamed for the start of the latest round of deadly fires.

The investigation into the Las Vegas massacre (58 dead) is over, with no answers as to motive of shooter Stephen Paddock.

New Survey: Democrats Support Wall

Public opinion surveys conducted for the Republican National Committee reveal that voters in ten congressional districts—places where Trump won but are now represented by Democrats in Congress:

  • 49% approve of the President’s job performance (87% of Republicans)
  • 54% support his policies
  • 61% support Trump’s position on border security
  • 50% believe that Democrats should have accepted Trump’s border deal
  • 52% believe the border crisis is a national security threat; 53% want a wall

Bad news for Democrats: only 34% believe Trump was not more open to compromise than Congressional Democrats. On Tuesday, a top Defense Department official testified to Congress that the President has the power to build a border wall without congressional approval—and does not need to declare a national emergency under 10 U.S.C. 284.

Why this Matters: The President is under a tremendous amount of pressure from the enemy. He is hated by the Left and vilified every single day in the media. He needs our prayers. His agenda items, such as the wall, are necessary and there is absolutely no reason why Democrats are fighting so hard against it–unless as the Trump insider known as Q has said, it’s because a wall would put an end to the pipeline for drugs, guns and human traffickers. And certain Democrats and Deep State politicians are taking their cut off the top.

As things now stand, the budget shutdown resumes February 15 if a bill that includes funding for the wall is not submitted to the President. A group of wives of border patrol agents have asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi to visit the border so they can discuss the crisis with her. She has not responded.

How to Pray: For the END of the smuggling, the abuse of people, and the abuse of power. Pray for the wall to be built and the crime to fall by record amounts. Pray that God would continue to expose wickedness and those who are committed to perpetrating evil.

Eph. 5:11 – And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
