The Obamas and newly-exonerated Jussie Smollett
It couldn’t be more obvious that we live in a two-tiered justice system--especially when we compare the two-year harassment of President Trump and his team with the “exoneration” of a convicted felon who just so happens to be a favorite of the Obamas and a darling of the Hollywood elite.
The Mueller report summary, released by Attorney General William Barr, concluded there was no evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice. The entire investigation came about because of a phony dossier that was paid-for by Hillary, promoted by the FBI, used to trick judges to approve surveillance warrants and confuse the American people since before the election. The President even hinted on Tuesday that the trickery went all the way to the top of the Obama administration.
This week we found out that this witch hunt was also keeping the Fake News media alive. Consider this: Every night for more than two years, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow promoted the idea that Trump was controlled by Russia. Her ratings soared–until the Mueller report summary was released.
Suddenly, Maddow lost a significant portion of her audience as did Lawrence O’Donnell, who follows her on MSNBC:
- From 3 million – Maddow March 18, four days before the summary
- To 2.5 million – Maddow March 25, three days after the summary
- Ratings: 2.2 million – O’Donnell pre-summary
- Ratings: 1.84 million – O’Donnell post-summary
Election Interference in 2018
On Wednesday, an unnamed source within the FBI leaked information to the press that makes this even more astonishing. And although this has not yet been verified, it seems that Robert Mueller had actually concluded his investigation in August 2018–three months before the midterm elections.
As investigative reporter John Solomon points out, collusion didn’t affect the 2016 election–it changed the outcome of the 2018 election!
“Polls showed the impact of the Russia coverage on voters. About half of American voters declared they believed Trump or his aides had colluded with Russia, even though they hadn’t. It is the most compelling proof in a long time that false information repeated long enough becomes truth for many people.”
In other words, voters were lulled into believing Republicans and President Trump were guilty and they voted for Democrats in 2018.
Where is justice for President Trump? Where are the apologies, the on-camera head-hanging, the repentance for leading millions astray?
Justice for Jussie?
The contrast of justice could not be more stark when looking at the Jussie Smollett case. He is the Empire actor who perpetrated a hoax on America and got away with it. Smollett hired two other actors to “beat” him up (he had barely a scratch), threaten him with a noose, and wear red caps. It gained him a hospital stay and national headlines for days.
There were two reasons for this:
1. To help the Senate pass an anti-lynching bill sponsored by Sen. Kamala Harris, Sen. Cory Booker, and Sen. Tim Scott.
2. To suggest the attackers were Trump supporters out to “lynch” a homosexual black man.
Smollett also wrote a threatening letter to himself which he read on the set of Empire. These facts were uncovered by the Chicago Police Department, who at first believed Smollett’s story, but after diligent investigation, discovered a hoax. The police were angry: Smollett had wasted police time, energy and manpower.
A grand jury was convened and Smollett was found guilty of 16 felony counts–and then the corruption began.
- A Chicago attorney named Tina Tchen, who had been chief of staff to First Lady Michelle Obama contacted Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx. Tchen gave Foxx the phone number of Smollett’s family member and asked for a favor.
- Foxx said she would have Police Supt. Eddie Johnson ask that the investigation be turned over to the FBI. Foxx also recused herself from Smollett’s prosecution and turned the case over to Joe Magats. The relative was pleased and said turning it over to the FBI would be “a huge victory.”
- On Tuesday, prosecutors abruptly dropped all charges and Smollett’s attorneys said his record had been wiped clean. Smollett told reporters, “I would not be my mother’s son if I was capable of one drop of what I was being accused of.”
- The details of the case were then sealed, and now it is being re-classified as a “peace violation.”
The Chicago police union is outraged. They are asking federal investigators to look into Kim Foxx’s handling of the case and her texts with Smollet’s relatives.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, Obama’s former chief of staff, repeatedly insisted Tuesday that Smollett was guilty of staging a hoax and called his release a “whitewash of justice.”
Sen. Kamala Harris said she did not know how it happened and was completely confused. But here is a picture of her with her protege, Kim Foxx. Notably, Foxx received $408,000 through her super PACs (political action committees) which were funded by George Soros.
The Assistant State’s Attorney Joe Magats, who stepped in after Foxx recused herself, said he decided to drop the charges because Smollett was not a violent threat to the community. Smollett relinquished his $10,000 bond and did 16 hours of community service. The original charges could have led to a 48-year sentence.
Why this Matters: Here we have two glittering examples of a two-tiered justice system that continues to thrive. The system promotes and favors its own and works to destroy and utterly demolish anyone who gets in its way. There are two investigations looking into Clinton’s server, her charity, and the missing 33,000 emails, plus misdeeds at the FBI and Department of Justice.
We must not lose hope. This exoneration of the President is just the beginning of good things to come!
Green No Deal
On Tuesday, the Senate voted on the Green New Deal—not because it deserves a vote, but because Majority Leader McConnell (R-KY) wanted Democrat Senators campaigning for the 2020 presidential election to show their hand. This is the bill that would rid the US of cows (due to their flatulence), banish air travel, prohibit all fossil fuels, and give a living wage to people who don’t want to work.
Would Democrats vote for this piece of garbage, or against it?
- Those who voted “nay” along with Republicans were Doug Jones (D-AL), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Angus King (I-ME).
- The remaining Democrats and Bernie Sanders voted “present.”
- It failed to reach the 60 votes necessary to begin debate on the non-binding resolution.
The Green New Deal’s proponent Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded, “What McConnell’s doing is that he’s trying to rush this bill to the floor without a hearing, without any markups … because he doesn’t want to save our planet. Because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned.”
Why this Matters: AOC has a crack team who writes her material and has educated her on the fine arts of political combat. She’s passionate and uses fear as a weapon–much like the Fake News media. What she doesn’t have is credibility. While preaching about improving life for “the poor,” she lives in a luxury DC apartment and gets her funding from wealthy elitists. Her start in politics didn’t come from grass roots involvement, but simply from answering a casting call.
Another victory!
Republicans and Democrats who tried to stop President Trump from using military funding to build the wall failed to pass a veto override. On Tuesday, the Pentagon announced that $1 billion had been transferred to begin new wall construction at the southern border.
Why this Matters: This is fight of goodness versus evil, light versus dark. The American people have a choice: serve the system or revolt against the system. We have an opportunity to bring the two-edged sword of the Truth to those who will listen. It is a light unto our own paths and can be shared to bring light to others.
How to Pray: For average Americans, of whatever political or religious stripe, to wake up. May the Lord prod their minds with questions about why their favorite newscasters and politicians continue to lie to them. May God give them eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart to understand.
Pray that believers do not give up, but continue to fight the battle spiritually. Pray that we will press on toward the mark of the high calling of Christ Jesus.
