It’s now undeniable that the Obama administration did everything they could to circumvent the will of the American people who elected Donald Trump. The “Russian collusion” allegation has been thoroughly discredited by the Special Counsel team of 18 lawyers and 40 FBI agents who interviewed 500 witnesses, reviewed millions of pages of documents, and spent $40 million dollars but found no evidence of collusion or that the President obstructed justice.

We also know that the dossier, which was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee and used to suggest Trump was colluding with Russia was known to be “salacious and unverified,” yet was presented to judges within the FISA court to secure warrants to spy on members of the Trump campaign.

Now we are learning even more about the dirty dealings within the State Department to support the effort to remove Trump, and how former Secretary of State John Kerry continues to act against the President on behalf of the “shadow government.”

Collusion by Current and Former State Department Employees

  • Documents released on June 18 show that senior State officials coordinated with congressional Democrats in 2016 to help craft the phony dossier by giving the author, British spy Christopher Steele, access to top US officials. They were aided by Clinton insider, Sidney Blumenthal, who helped circulate the dossier to promote the idea that it was a valuable piece of evidence.

State Department Connections to Clinton’s Illegal Server

  • Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who is in charge of oversight of the probe into Clinton’s illegal server, was notified this week by the State Department that they had identified multiple “security incidents” that occurred during Clinton’s reign as Secretary of State. Fifteen current and former employees who handled her highly classified emails committed 23 violations and seven infractions. Many of the employees at State are holdovers from the Obama administration.
  • Hillary used multiple private computer servers to circumvent the protocols at the State Department that required special handling for classified emails. When asked to provide her emails, she “lost” 33,000 of them. She was not prosecuted because, according to former FBI Director Comey, she did not have criminal intent.

John Kerry’s Backdoor Deals with Iran?

Obama Secretary of State John Kerry has been secretly negotiating with Iran since he left office. Kerry, who spearheaded the negotiations with Iran in the nuclear deal of 2015, is likely trying to convince Iran to hang on until Trump is removed from office. The Iran nuclear deal, which was never signed or approved by Congress, gave Iran billions of dollars in US and foreign cash. Some was transferred, and the rest was loaded on jets and hand-delivered to Iran.

While President Trump tried in vain to secure a better deal–one that would allow surprise inspections and keep Iran from getting nuclear arms–Kerry met secretly with Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. It appeared as if he was trying to save the agreement, violating the Logan Act, which criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States.

Fear of Exposure

When it looked like the US would step out of the deal, a senior advisor for Iran’s Foreign Minister Zarif released a statement warning European leaders to safeguard the nuclear deal if the US backed out. He wrote:

“If Europeans stop trading with Iran and don’t put pressure on US then we will reveal which western politicians and how much money they had received during nuclear negotiations to make #IranDeal happen.” (emphasis added)

It seems that was enough to keep European leaders from jumping ship.

In May, Iran announced it intended to violate elements of the agreement, blaming the US for sanctions and for bullying Europe and the rest of the world.

Trying to Start a War?

Tension escalated last week, when Iran allegedly attacked two oil tankers operated by Norway and Japan. Both were transporting oil through the Strait of Hormuz, which is a vital waterway for the oil industry. If the Strait were ever shut down by Iran, that would affect oil prices worldwide.

Things got worse on Thursday morning, when Iran shot down a US Navy drone in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz (pictured below).

President Trump responded to the drone attack saying, “I have a feeling it was a mistake made by somebody who didn’t know what they were doing.” He also called it a very bad mistake and said, “You’ll soon find out” what the US response would be.

By suggesting it was not a state-sponsored act, the President immediately quelled the fear that the US would be entering another Middle Eastern war.

Why this Matters: President Trump has rightfully accused former Secretary of State John Kerry of telling Iran not to negotiate with his administration. Trump has repeatedly said he wants peace with Iran and is opposed to war. He said Iran’s leaders should “call me,” and offered to help revive the country’s economy as long as Iran did not acquire nuclear weapons.

What’s next?

If we do not want a war with Iran, it is up to Christians to pray and stand against what the enemy is trying to do. In 1961, President Dwight Eisenhower spoke of the dangers posed by a “military-industrial” complex that needs perpetual war to feed itself while amassing power at the expense of our peace and liberty.

Likewise, if we want a nation that functions in righteousness, we must pray for it and wage war in the spiritual realm against the vile attacks on our Republic, beginning with the President.

How to Pray: May God set the right time for justice and judgment that the public will be ready, and may God receive the glory. What great things He has done!

Amos 5:24 – But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Ps. 30:12 – To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Jude 1:25 – To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
