The site of the second shooting in Dayton, OH, where 9 died and 16 were wounded.
President Trump addressed the nation on Monday in the aftermath of the two mass shootings over the weekend. He expressed condolences to those who lost loved ones and encouraged the nation to condemn racism, hatred, and white supremacy and act as one people with one voice. “Open wounds cannot heal if we are divided,” he exhorted.
The President called on the FBI to identify and act on early warning signs, which did not happen with the Parkland shooter. He added that the Internet provides access for mass murders and the FBI must investigate and disrupt them before they take action. Another problem Mr. Trump identified is the glorification of violence, including gruesome video games.
President Trump called for:
- Cultural change that celebrates the dignity of every human life.
- Improved laws to identify seriously mentally disturbed people; those judged to pose a grave risk must not have access to firearms.
- “Red flag laws” (extreme risk protection orders), which permit judges to temporarily confiscate firearms from individuals determined to be a danger to themselves or others.
- Legislation to ensure that those who commit such acts get the death penalty quickly and decisively, without years of needless delay.
The President urged Republicans and Democrats to join together in a bipartisan way to address this problem and reminded that grants were given in 2018 to improve school safety and ban bump stocks. He added that a record number of firearms offenses were prosecuted last year.
Here is a recap on the shootings:
El Paso – Patrick Crusius, 21
- Killed 22 people, injured dozens of others on Saturday
- Was taken into custody and remains dazed and confused after the attack.
- His father, a decades-long drug and alcohol addict, now runs a new-age clinic. He worked with people associated with “John of God”—the healer championed by Oprah who was later exposed as a fraud, pedophile, and human trafficker.
- An essay that is purportedly penned by the shooter was published on Instagram, then 20 minutes before the shooting, was republished on 8chan, but not by the shooter.
- That is the same board that Q posts on.
- Subsequently, 8chan lost its cloud server, twice. Board owner Jim Watkins published a video explaining that his engineers immediately worked with the FBI and they carefully follow legal guidelines.
- The shooter’s purported essay contains a plan to segregate ethnic minorities and speaks of the Hispanic invasion of Texas. It also laments climate change and reducing the population. Tweets from 2017 show he was a Trump supporter at that time, but the recent essay says the influx of illegals at the border sent him over the edge.
Dayton – Connor Betts, 24
- Nine dead, 16 wounded at Ned Pepper’s Bar. The shooter was killed by police.
- Lived with his parents and sister. He killed his sister and wounded their friend.
- A loner who was bullied in high school, he kept a notebook detailing the people he wanted to kill or rape. He played in a “pornogrind” metal band and wore satanist apparel.
- Betts was a registered Democrat who supported 2020 candidates Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

Why this Matters:
1. True to form, the media, Hollywood, and Democrat politicians are blaming these shootings on President Trump. Much of the trouble began with the Charlottesville tragedy in August 2017, during protests against the pulling down of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee and renaming the park. A driver slammed his car into another car, which killed one person and injured 16 others. A state police helicopter sent to the scene crashed, killing both officers inside.
The Charlottesville crowd contained protesters and counter-protesters, as well as white supremacists. The President denounced the actions of the few, and said that there were good people on both sides, but many said he didn’t go far enough. He then held a press conference and said,
- “Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group…that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name… I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”
The “Trump is a racist” rallying cry has become a campaign slogan for the 2020 candidates. The fake news media is trumpeting the El Paso shooter’s racism, but is completely silent on the politics of the Dayton shooter.
2. The progressive/left would love to use these tragedies to grab our guns, or severely limit our access to them. The President is offering to sign legislation, but the track record on getting anything done with this Democrat-run House is abysmal. Perhaps this is part of a larger strategy on Trump’s part.
3. First Amendment rights are the next target. The 8chan bulletin board abides by the law, according to owner Jim Watkins. He calls it a “blank piece of paper” that anyone can write on without worrying about their words being offensive to one group or another. Watkins is still looking for a hosting site.
The 8chan board is like a playground. It can be fun and interesting or infested with bullies and vile content—depending on who is posting. The First Amendment still protects all legal speech.
4. The tragedies have temporary hijacked the spotlight. We’re still waiting to hear more on:
- The missing $16 billion in federal grants to Elijah Cummings’ Baltimore district last year and his wife’s federally-subsidized organizations.
- The recent dismissal of a final case by a judge where the DNC tried to link their stolen emails which were released by Wikileaks to Russia. The judge called the case “absent of facts,” and said Julian Assange and Wikileaks are publishers, protected by the First Amendment.
- Projected upcoming releases of the official documents and video/audio recordings showing the lies and treachery of Obama-era officials.
- The names of those connected with Pedophile/human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
How to Pray: Pray these scriptures over yourself, the President, and all who are pursuing truth, exposing lies, and overcoming evil with good. God is especially interested in exacting judgment on false witnesses who foolishly refuse to repent.
Prov. 19:5, 9, 8, 21, 28, 29 – A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.
