It’s official! Former Vice President Joe Biden, with Kamala Harris at his side, accepted the Democrat Party’s nomination. It was historic–the first-ever black woman chosen as VP nominee and the first-ever convention held virtually.

Mr. Biden was able to deliver a 24-minute teleprompter speech Thursday night, something many feared he wouldn’t be able to do. It was pre-recorded and nearly perfect. The mainstream media was blown away by what they’re calling the speech of his life. CNN commentator and former Obama official Van Jones exclaimed, “And we were prepared for it to be a terrible speech. As long as he didn’t embarrass himself, we were going to come out here and praise it!”

Biden is being heralded as a man of excellent character, the guy with a moral compass. Let’s look deeper.

Most people have seen the endless images of Biden snuggling children and invading women’s personal space. We have also covered the allegations of a former staffer who said Biden sexually assaulted her in the 1990’s. Biden denies it, but even Sen. Kamala Harris said (when the accusation was against a Republican) “we should believe all women.”

The former Vice President claims to be a proud Catholic, a man of faith. He also favors abortion without limits and would require other people of faith to foot the bill. There’s more to suggest his moral compass needs adjusting.

Biden lies for sympathy and approval. He has repeatedly said the driver whose truck collided with the Biden family car, resulting in the death of his wife and daughter, was drunk. In fact, the driver had the right-of-way, and according to the Delaware prosecutor, hadn’t been drinking. He tells of being arrested in South Africa for trying to meet Nelson Mandela. It never happened.
Biden also takes what isn’t his. Biden has been caught plagiarizingmultiple times: in law school, from a Time magazine article (which he entered into the Congressional record as his own words), and other politicians’ speeches. He took his 1988 presidential campaign speech from a British candidate—which cost him the nomination–and on Thursday, he stole his best lines from Canadian politician Jack Layton.

Hardcore corruption
It gets worse.

  • Joe Biden abused his power for money. Biden’s son Hunter was handsomely paid to sit on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company, and when the government smelled corruption, VP Biden had the investigator fired and bragged about it at a Council of Foreign Relations event.
  • Joe’s son got rich off of China, too. Hunter accompanied his vice president father on a trip and came home with a sweet $1.5 billioninvestment deal with the Chinese Communist government.
  • The former Vice President was also there in the White House with President Obama, planning the coup attempt and plotting how to frame Gen. Michael Flynn and accuse Trump of colluding with Russia.

Dark vs. Light

Hillary Clinton warned during her speech that Donald Trump would try to steal the election. Former President Obama told viewers that American democracy will die if Donald Trump is re-elected. Kamala Harris carried the racism banner, saying even the virus is racist. Although the virus “touches us all,” she said, “it is not an equal opportunity offender. Black, Latino and Indigenous people are suffering and dying disproportionately. This is not a coincidence. It is the effect of structural racism.”

Yet no one at the DNC convention addressed the looting or shootings in major cities. New York City had an increase in gun violence of 177 percent over last year for the month of July, and Portland is on day 85 of anarchy. Police are leaving the force and residents are fleeing. Is there nothing these august politicians have to offer to remedy the situation?

Next week is the Republican National Convention. The President’s team has seen the dark and ominous tones the DNC offered and are presenting a picture of hope. President Trump will speak every night on these themes:

  • Monday – Land of Promise
  • Tuesday – Land of Opportunity
  • Wednesday – Land of Heroes
  • Thursday – Land of Greatness

Other speakers will include:

  • Nick Sandmann, the Catholic teenager who was assaulted and lied about by the media and who just won two million-dollar lawsuits against The Washington Post and CNN.
  • The McCloskeys, a St. Louis couple who were arrested for defending their home against trespassing protesters.
  • Franklin Graham, Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, several governors, lawmakers, attorneys general, cabinet secretaries Ben Carson and Mike Pompeo, the Vice President, First and Second Ladies, the Trump children, Rudy Giuliani, and GOP officials.

Why this Matters: Democrats want to “fix things” with another shutdown, massive tax increases, open borders, universal healthcare, free college, and universal income. They would outlaw cows, autos, airplanes, and fossil fuels, confiscate our guns, mandate masks and vaccinations, and then cram other horrors from their Green New Deal down our throats. Goodbye Bill of Rights, and hello surrender. Thank God, Americans have had enough of that type of “light.”

How to Pray: for the contrast between light and dark to be magnified, for the protection of everyone involved. Pray for the President to hear God, who tries the reins and the heart, and that every false minister of light will be exposed.

2 Cor. 11:13-15 – For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
