President Trump finished the week by cancelling federally-funded programs based on Critical Race Theory (CRT). This doctrine was implemented under the Obama administration as “diversity training,” but it is actually a system to replace American culture with Marxist ideology.
For example, one federal contractor was sending their employees to sessions where they identified their white privilege and made amends for micro-aggression. Wikipedia defines micro-aggressions as:
Brief and commonplace daily verbal or behavioral indignities, whether intentional or unintentional (even well-meaning), that communicate hostile, derogatory or negative attitudes.
CRT breaks everyone into victimhood groups based on gender, race, disability, sexual preference, etc. Saying “all lives matter” is offensive because it doesn’t acknowledge the victimhood of people of color. Saying “When I see you, I don’t see color” is harmful because it signals that you don’t acknowledge a person’s blackness.
So you’re racist if you do notice skin color, and hostile if you don’t.
All “oppressions” intersect
Well-meaning people on both sides of the argument ultimately want national healing and the destructive divisiveness to end. What many don’t understand is that these CRT diversity programs are expansions of the Marxist idea that capitalism is oppressive and all oppressions and victim groups intersect. Therefore, America with its capitalistic base, can never be fixed. It must be destroyed and rebuilt. That’s why Black Lives Matter and Antifa have rioted 570 times this summer, destroying property and lives in nearly 220 locations all across country.
That’s the break-it-down part, CRT also prescribes how to rebuild–without traditional American values, especially those apparently associated with white males, including:
- Rugged individualism
- A can-do attitude
- Hard work and striving towards success
These are supposedly devastating to women and people of color.
The President has ordered federal agencies and contractors to stop sending employees through these programs. Later, he warned on Twitter that schools teaching CRT under the umbrella of The New York Times’ 1619 Project will also lose federal funding. This doctrine stipulates that America was actually founded in 1619, when slaves were first brought to Jamestown. Here’s a summary of the tenets already adopted in public and private schools across the country:
While Marxists dismantle the Constitution and rework the legal system to favor people of color, the Biden team can rework the physical constructs of America. Their “Building it back better” plan uses elements of the Green New Deal to set us on an “irreversible course” towards a sustainable and fair future. This includes:
- Mandating that all existing buildings and new construction meet strict environmental standards, tearing down or retrofitting all that don’t
- Overhauling our transportation systems to rely on electric power
- Expanding high-speed rail systems so that air travel is unnecessary
- Providing everyone a minimum income and universal healthcare
- Controlling how farmers operate in order to eliminate methane emissions (cow flatulence) and pollution
- Higher taxes across the board to pay for this four-year $2 trillion plan
In addition, Democrats vow to expand abortion and restrict or outlaw firearms as retiring conservative Supreme Court justices are replaced.
Why this Matters: People and corporations have contributed billions of dollars to Black Lives Matter, perhaps believing that the money will help heal broken hearts or feed the poor. Actually, the money goes into more divisive programs such as “grass roots organizing,” arts and cultural projects, “Black Liberation” curriculum and a campaign which targets racial injustice, economic injustice, LGBTQ rights, voter suppression, and “common-sense gun laws”—all items high on the Democratic Party’s agenda.
These ideas have already invaded the church, are being taught in seminaries, and were adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2019, but they are incompatible with Christianity. How can something that is designed to divide and conquer be godly or good when Jesus warned us that a house divided against itself cannot stand? BLM and CRT are based on collectivism, which is contrary to the idea of personal salvation. What’s more, all of these doctrines depend upon offenses which will never be forgiven, sustained by sins that can never be forgotten.
Isn’t it Jesus who said that in the last days many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another? It seems we are there.
How to Pray: Pray that the powers blinding the eyes and binding people to the spirit of offense will be broken. Pray for the loosing of the truth in every corner of the world. Pray for the President’s strength, wisdom, and discernment. May God give him a wise and understanding heart to do all thatGod has commanded.
