Transition, Not Concession

Watch on YouTube or Rumble

Thursday evening, President Trump released a video condemning violenceand promising a peaceful transition. He did not concede, nor did he mention the names of Biden and Harris. It was an interesting end to a rocky day. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, members of the “squad,” and several Republicans either called for Donald Trump to immediately resign or be removed using the 25th Amendment. Still others began compiling articles of impeachment! Why the hysteria? Is it just vile hatred, or is it fear?

The election was stolen and there seems to be no redress. Let’s look at what happened and the options that remain.

Patriotic Protest

This editor, along with my husband, went to Washington DC to support the President and peacefully march to the capitol.

  • At the Ellipse across from the south lawn of the White House, we listened to a frustrated leader lay out the case for fraud in each state where it happened. We hoped to hear some new bombshell that would change the outcome.
  • There was nothing new.
  • President Trump also admitted that he wasn’t hearing good things about Vice President Pence, who was in charge of the certification process.
  • He had hoped that Pence would send the contested electoral slates back to the states, because even at that time, Georgia state legislators were taking another look into the fraud and there are court cases pending.

After the President finished speaking, we joined hundreds of thousands of supporters and marched to the Capitol. There was no official plan in place. We intended to stand outside in support of the Senators and Representatives who voice their objections to the certification. When we arrived, masses of people were milling about. A few young men in suits had climbed onto a monument to call for “taking back our House.” The crowd was peaceful and filled with grandmothers, veterans, Asian Americans (especially Vietnamese and Chinese, who have come out from Communism) and families.

At some point, however, we felt the air change and sensed it was time to leave. The building had been breached and was on lockdown–the proceeding suspended. The reports about the breach are incomplete, as more videos and eyewitness accounts are being released, but here is what we do know:

  • Some of the Capitol police allowed people into the building, which had been open to visitors the day before. Many Trump supporters assumed they were allowed to go in.
  • There are videos of police waving the throngs on through the gates and urging them on.
  • Other Trump supporters met with resistance by police and pushed their way through. Police used flash bangs and tear gas on them. These people later said all they wanted to do was get inside and keep lawmakers from certifying a stolen election.
  • Antifa was present, dressed in MAGA gear, and bent on destruction. They played on the crowd’s emotions and stirred up violence in otherwise calm people.
  • A man trying to break a window was loudly “booed” by the crowd, who wanted no part of the chaos.
Ashli Babbitt

Ashli Babbitt, a 14-year Air Force veteran with multiple tours of duty, was shot in the neck by police and died inside the Capitol. Three other people also died from medical emergencies, and so did a police officer. The New York Times published, then deleted, a story claiming the officer died after being hit with a fire extinguisher. This is untrue.

It should be noted that many hundreds of thousands of patriots attended peacefully. Those who recognized they had been infiltrated by Antifa tried to physically stop the Antifa rioters.

Even though President Trump urged people to be peaceful and to leave the scene, the media spared no time in condemning him for the violence.

  • Twitter, Facebook, and other social media took down his video calling for people to go home and remain peaceful, while saying he was inciting a riot!
  • Michelle Obama called on tech companies to permanently ban the President, saying they should put policies in place “to prevent their technology from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection.”
  • Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) drafted a resolution calling for certain Republican lawmakers to be removed from Congress for “inciting” a domestic terror attack through their attempts to overturn the election. It was dated January 5th, the day before the events occurred.

Why this Matters: What is sadly true is that people were hurt and killed. There was some damage to property. Also true is that Antifa and Black Lives Matter are still waging war in American cities like Portland. At one point it was estimated their rioting has caused $2 billion in damages. In June, the House Democrats unanimously blocked a resolution condemning the violence and rioting. The staffers for Biden and Harris contributed to funds providing bail for rioters. It’s okay–and even encouraged by the Left–to use any means to promote certain agendas and not others.

Will Joe Biden be Inaugurated?

Congress reconvened at 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Barring a few objections from patriotic lawmakers, the election was easily certified. Senators Loeffler and Perdue from Georgia both lost their run-offs to far-left candidates amid more calls of election rigging. Loeffler had promised to object to the certification, but wobbled and flipped, using the violent actions of a few as an excuse.

We still have a few days left before the inauguration, and anything can happen before then. President Trump can release all the documents that have been declassified, revealing the true traitors and having the FBI arrest the criminals, which include Joe Biden. He can release the report on foreign interference in the election, showing that China and others were able to rig the outcome. He has any number of options at his disposal, or God may have something else in mind.

It feels like all hope is lost, but we’re not Charlie Brown and Lucy doesn’t hold the football. We must stay strong and hope in the Lord. The enemy is Satan, the battle is spiritual, and the victory is the Lord’s.

How to Pray: May God’s will be done. He is our fortress, our rock, the God in whom we trust. Pray for the battle to be won against the forces of darkness. May God strengthen our President and preserve our republic. Pray comfort for Ashli’s friends and family.

Deut. 20:1 – When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and see horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Ps. 24:8 – Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
