Like a race horse out of the gate, the Biden Administration has taken the lead among modern presidencies in imposing the greatest number of executive orders in the shortest amount of time—issuing 40 edicts in just one week, nearly half of them overturning orders put in place by President Trump.
Christians and conservatives cringe as transgenders re-enter the military, boys compete in girls’ sports, and abortion clinics feast on taxpayer funds. Thousands of oil pipeline workers have lost their jobs, mobs of new asylum seekers have begun amassing at the Southern border, and gas prices rise as we prepare for tax increases to fund climate change initiatives.
This is not what we prayed for and it’s not what we wanted. So just how do we find joy going forward—how do we rejoice in the fallout?
Dealing with the new normal will require faith and a sense of humor. Scripture says that a merry heart does good like a medicine (or cure), and those who have a merry heart have a continual feast. So, let’s find humor where we can and trust God for the rest. We may find along the way that the hypocrisy is so egregious that it will offend even the most ardent Biden supporter.
Multiple Masks and Bottoms Up!
President Biden signed an executive order putting the US back under a financial obligation to fund the World Health Organization. He also signed an order banning the term “China Virus.” This coincides with the WHO announcement that China is not to blame for the virus that began in Wuhan, China.
- Dr. Fauci, who is the highest paid federal employee at $417,608 per year, now recommends wearing two masks. He says this is just common sense. CNBC is backing him up, reporting that two masks block just 75 percent of the virus, while three masks block 90 percent.
- We must ask the obvious—will four or five masks be even better? How about ten? Maybe we should wrap our heads in plastic for 100 percent efficiency.
- And just in case multiple face “diapers” aren’t humiliating enough, China just announced they have developed a better protocol for testing: an anal swab. Perfect!
The next step planned by the administration is to require that all domestic travelers test negative before boarding a flight. Can you imagine if airport TSA agents were equipped with anal swabs, ready to administer your test prior to boarding?
Mum’s the Word
| Masks make speech difficult, fear keep families and friends apart, and the communication that remains is being curtailed through massive censorship. Multiple platforms and thousands of content creators have vanished. We’ve already been through several waves of YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter purges that have eliminated conservatives and our opinions. Now Twitter has announced that President Trump is banned for life. |
| Perhaps this will explain things. A journalist from Pro Publica (in Latin “for the public”) suggested on MSNBC that it’s not enough for YouTube to restrict controversial content, but the ban must also be adopted by Apple podcasts in order to eliminate “election denialism.” In case you were wondering, this year’s election denialism is not the same as Hillary Clinton’s election denialism (with its $100,000 in property destruction at the hands of Trump haters). Nor is it akin to Madonna’s threat to blow up the White House or comedian Kathy Griffin’s tweet in which she holds up a bloody severed “Trump” head. According to the new leadership in America, President Trump must be silenced and impeached because he used the word “fight” in a speech. |
Keep ‘em Quiet
Earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that “conspiracy” media will not be allowed in the White House. Would that be any journalist who might dare ask the President a challenging question? The President’s team—not Biden himself—will also be selecting which journalists can ask questions. That’s probably a response to Fox News’ Peter Doocy asking Biden what he and Russian President Putin talked about.
Biden responded, “You. He sends his best.”
Crafting Language: It’s Equity Not Equality
The new administration has named Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith as the Covid-19 Health Equity Task Force chair. You might wonder what this means. Nunez-Smith is an associate professor of internal medicine at Yale and will lead the charge to ensure that response, care, and treatment for Covid-19 is distributed with equity.
According to her own statements, Nunez-Smith will be ensuring that illegals, the homeless, and prisoners receive vaccines and treatments at the same time as, or sooner than, the rest of society. We can also assume that communities of color will get preferential treatment.
You see, in these days of rewriting our language and addressing “systemic racism,” the idea of equity is different than equality. Equality means everyone gets the same amount, and that’s unfair because some people have had a head start because of their race. The new goal is equity that ensures that everyone’s outcome is the same.
To quote Rep. Clyburn (D-SC), “Sometimes, in order to be fair and equitable, you don’t treat people equally, because they don’t have the same needs.”
President Biden signed four executive orders to advance racial equity and disavow xenophobia. It’s an interesting contradiction of his executive order that prohibits people from certain foreign countries from entering the US due high rates of Covid. When President Trump took a similar action, he was called a racist. Biden’s ban is lauded as a “multi-faceted approach.”
Why this Matters: Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote in the Gulag Archipelago,
“Truth, it seems, is always bashful, easily reduced to silence by the too blatant encroachment of falsehood. The prolonged absence of any free exchange of information within a country opens up a gulf of incomprehension between whole groups of the population, between millions and millions. We simply cease to be a single people, for we speak, indeed, different languages.”
The media and political leadership in America believe that changing the meaning of words and silencing the opposition will keep us divided and dumb. They hope to produce a fold of sheep that will stupidly believe and do whatever we’re told. For better or worse, America is a nation of rebels. It’s time to be rebellious against the devil and his agenda, while we are obedient to the Lord.
How to Pray: That the new administration will succeed everywhere they implement policies in accord with God’s plans. Where they do not, pray the policies will fail and illuminate the insanity for those who are still asleep. Pray for the health and safety of the President and Vice President and all elected officials so that we may live in peace, as we are told to do in 1 Timothy 2.
Hosea 6:1-3 – Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
