Joe Biden’s Very Bad Week

Joe Biden has had the worst week of his presidency. The economy is in terrible shape—as we all know, and now the numbers testify—he lost on mandating vaccines through OSHA, and his push to federalize control over the elections met its end. Although the good news is exceedingly good, there’s bad news, too. So let’s take a look and see where the battle lies.

Supremely Good
The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Biden’s mandate to force companies with 100+ employees to fire the unvaccinated was unconstitutional. Many people have left their jobs because of this dangerous rule. Six justices voted against it, a supreme win for freedom.

Truly Bad
Inflation has hit a new high: consumer prices soared by 7 percent in December from a year earlier, the biggest jump since June 1982. Producer prices, those charged by suppliers to businesses, spiked by 9.7% in 2021. Manufacturing CEOs say they are facing upward pricing pressure on raw materials, wages and other inputs.

Supremely Low
Joe Biden’s poll numbers mirror the startlingly bad economic news. He is down to 33 percent approval overall, hitting just 25 percent among independents, 28 percent with Hispanics, and 57 percent with blacks. He rose slightly in the polls after Thursday’s news conference (more on that below.)

Federal Mandates on Healthcare workers – The Supreme Court also ruled on whether the federal government can force healthcare organizations that accept Medicare and Medicaid payments to impose vaccine mandates on their employees. The court voted 5-4 in Biden’s favor, affecting 10.3 million healthcare workers, with Justices Roberts and Kavanaugh joining the court’s left.

  • Justice Thomas wrote that however many rules are issued by unelected administrators, that doesn’t negate the authority of Congress to make laws. “If Congress had wanted to grant the CMS [Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services] authority to impose a nationwide vaccine mandate, and consequently alter the state-federal balance, it would have said so clearly. It did not.”
  • Justice Alito stressed, along with Justice Gorsuch, that “under our Constitution, the authority to make laws that impose obligations on the American people is conferred on Congress, whose Members are elected by the people.”

As legal analyst Margot Cleveland explains, the same problem existed in both Supreme Court vaccine mandate cases, yet Roberts and Kavanaugh seemingly caved to Biden’s power grab in the second, based on a hodgepodge of provisions. In other words, a decision not based on the merits, but on procedures.

The Right to Control
More than 40 percent of Americans believe the 2020 Election was stolen and 57 percent believe there will be another “insurrection.” Democrats are working through legislation to change voting laws. They would place all decisions about polling hours, polling places, voting machines, voting districts, etc. in the hands of the federal government. The bill, which passed in the House, included a law against voter ID. It is being touted as an expansion of voting rights. Those against it are being accused as racists who want a return of Jim Crow. Now they need it to pass in the Senate.

The Wind-up
On Tuesday, Joe Biden told a small group of black college students in Atlanta that January 6 was “a dagger was literally held at the throat of American democracy.” He called the protests at the Capitol a “denial of fair and free elections,” and said Georgia’s ban on handing out food and water within a few feet of polling places is unbiblical.

Biden forgot himself and even began spinning a tall tale about being arrested in South Africa while trying to see Nelson Mandela—which is a complete fabrication. He stopped himself, though, and went back to the teleprompter.

The Power Grab
Two days later, Biden was back begging for censorship. He asked social media and news companies to censor anti-vaccine information and has stepped up his cries for people to wear masks, get vaccinated, and for employers to impose mandates on their own.

The Failure
Democrat need to change the Senate voting rules to pass their new voting law. They must eliminate the 60-vote majority, or filibuster, with a straight 51 vote margin to win. This requires the votes of Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). Manchin has said all along he wouldn’t vote to eliminate the filibuster, and on Thursday afternoon, Sinema gave a speech saying she wouldn’t either.
For now, their voting “rights” bill is dead, thank God!

The Hypocrisy
The hypocrisy of pushing for a filibuster is lost on most Democrats. Just hours after Sinema’s speech, the Senate voted 55-44 on a bill by Sen. Ted Cruz to punish Russia with sanctions on their Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Democrats killed the bill and helped Russia’s interest by using the filibuster
Which party is supposedly in collusion with Russia?

Axios, a reliable left-leaning media outlet, summed up Mr. Biden’s week this way:

  • “It’s rare for a president to be at odds with Republicans, moderate Democrats and liberal Democrats—all at once. But that’s where Biden finds himself at the start of an election year that many Democrats believe will result in the loss of the House and maybe the Senate.

Why the Massive Mess?
To understand how we’ve fallen so far, we should consider first that “mass formation psychosis,” is fully entrenched in our culture. All one need do is look at the following Rasmussen polls to see that fear drives the masses to find answers in loss of freedom.

Pollsters found that most Democrat voters support not just vaccine mandates, but fines, imprisonment, and taking away one’s children! Only 48 percent of everyone surveyed—all political parties—say “no” to mandates (40 percent strongly oppose), while 48 percent (33 percent strongly) want vaccine mandates on employees of large companies.

  • Fire Them! – 78 percent of Democrats favor forcing people out of their jobs for non-compliance
  • Fine Them! – 55 percent want fines for being unvaccinated
  • Imprisonment! – 59 percent want unvaccinated confined to their homes except for emergencies, and 45 percent want government lock-down facilities to house anyone who refuses the vaccine
  • Silence Them! – 48 percent want fines or prison for those who publicly raise questions about the vaccines on social media, TV/radio, online
  • Track Them! – 47 percent want a government digital tracking program to ensure the unvaccinated socially distance and quarantine
  • Take their Kids! – 29 percent would agree to take away children from unvaccinated parents

Why this Matters: The rapid decline in godly values and the rise of satanic control is blatant. Christians are supposed to understand that this is a spiritual battle, so it doesn’t surprise us to learn that fear runs rampant among those who favor such severe measures. Among Democrats, 42 percent are very concerned about variants such as omicron, while just 18 percent of Republicans and 22 percent of unaffiliated voters share their fears.

Light at the End
There was good news in this CBS poll that asked Americans what would change their minds about Biden.

  • Most (63 percent) said lower inflation would, and 76 percent said his build back better legislation would not. Another 39 percent said he’s focusing on the wrong things.
  • Among Americans who disapprove of the Biden administration’s handling of the pandemic, 69 percent point to confusing guidance from health officials, and 61 percent say they oppose vaccine mandates.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, is still drawing huge crowds and has become very quiet about vaccines. He told supporters in Florence, AZ on Saturday night that he believed children’s immune systems were strong on their own and condemned the vaccine mandates. The former President also touted the therapeutics he promoted at the start of the pandemic.

He has not slacked on his insistence that the election was stolen, and asked,

  • “Exactly how many of those present at the Capitol complex on January 6th were FBI confidential informants, agents, or otherwise working directly or indirectly with an agency of the US government?” Trump was referring to the new charges of seditious conspiracy against 11 members of Oath Keepers and the suspicious decision not to indict Ray Epps, who is on video inciting a riot, and whom many assume to be an FBI plant.
  • Mr. Trump added that those who voted to impeach are falling fast, referring to the announced retirements of three GOP anti-Trumpers in the House. There are 28 representatives of both parties retiring this year.

Virginia is for Freedom Lovers
To round off Joe Biden’s bad week was this stark contrast, as Republican Glenn Youngkin was sworn in as governor of Virginia. He immediately signed 11 executive orders, including:

  • Overturning mask mandates for public schools
  • Removing vaccination requirements for state workers
  • Banning critical race theory in schools
  • Vowing that Virginia will combat/prevent human trafficking
  • Withdrawing from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative
  • Investigating wrongdoing in Loudon County, where a transgender boy raped a girl in the school’s girls’ bathroom and it went unreported. The girl’s father was arrested for complaining at a school board meeting.

In addition, new Attorney General Jason Miyares fired the entire civil rights division and announced he will prosecute criminal cases in jurisdictions where Soros-funded district attorneys have declined to do so.

Why this Matters: Patriots and truth-seekers are courageously chipping away at the “official” results from the 2020 election. The latest win came in Wisconsin, where a judge ruled that drop boxes are illegal, saying that the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) gave unlawful guidance in 2020 election. He ordered them to resend guidelines on using drop boxes. The left vows to fight this ruling. Biden supposedly won Wisconsin by 20,682 votes, and an estimated 250,000 people voted absentee without a voter ID, claiming the rare status of being confined indefinitely.

Lindsey Graham was asked about the GOP’s strategy and working with Donald Trump in 2022 and 2024. Graham said,

  • If he runs, great. No matter who runs, you got to prove to me that you can work with President Trump because he’s the most consequential Republican in the party by a mile.” He added that the America First agenda is very popular with independents and Republicans and the Senate Leader must have a working relationship with Trump and that agenda.

How to Pray: May the Lord give us the courage to stand against authoritarians who want to shove anti-American and anti-freedom agendas down our throats and imprison us if we don’t comply. Pray that the truth continues to be exposed no matter how much the petty bureaucrats try to confuse us with lies and half-truths. God forgive those who are blindly following leaders and refusing to think for themselves.

1 Cor. 16:13,14 – Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men [be courageous], be strong. Let all your things be done with charity.
1 Cor. 16:22 – If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema [cursed] Maranatha [our Lord will come with divine judgment].
