FL Gets Queer Theory OUT of K-3

We first reported on Drag Queen Story Hour for pre-schoolers several years ago. It seemed like some sick joke that any parent would expose their child to such debauchery. This week, we had evidence that the decay is even deeper, as liberals, progressives, and even the CEO of Disney are losing their collective minds over Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education Act, which prohibits the sexual grooming of children PreK-3rd grade in public schools. It specifically:

• Provides parents more access to information
• Prevents young children from being taught about gender and sexual identity

Social media hit squads are calling it the “Don’t Say Gay Bill,” and Disney CEO Bob Chapek, who vehemently opposed the legislation, has asked Gov. DeSantis not to sign it. Chapek apologized to LGBTQ+ employees for past support for politicians who voted for the legislation. He wrote, “Starting immediately, we are increasing our support for advocacy groups to combat similar legislation in other states.” 

All public institutions, including churches, have become the battleground for the new revolution. What began as an economic struggle under Karl Marx is now barging into our schools and culture under the umbrella of Critical Theory. However, by recognizing its tenets, we can identify its web and stifle the terrible effects on our nation.

1. Know Your Enemy

The key to understanding what’s happening in our culture can be found in Marxist Theory, also known as its offshoot Critical Theory, which is short for criticize everything then tear it down. Marxism depends on a constant revolution fought by an army of radicals raging against an unfair power structure created by oppressive white men.

The only solution is to tear it all down (and they mean everything), because even something as benign as mathematics was created by the oppressors. After that, these revolutionaries will rebuild it according to a new utopian ideal.

2. Identify Invaders in the Church

A typical congregation can be so focused on getting people saved that they don’t recognize the wolves in their midst. Rod Dreher, Senior Editor of The American Conservative, describes how transgender activists are secretly invading the church. By demanding membership, they force the church to comply or face crippling lawsuits funded by activist organizations with bottomless bank accounts. The goal is to close down the church.

Marxists and their ilk want a society without traditions, norms, or anything that provides stability. The churches that are founded on Christ the solid rock have nothing to fear. Those that cater to “seekers” and try to be “inclusive” may not survive.

3. Beware of Queer Theory 

According to Critical Theorists, gender is a role a person plays, not an identity. “Gender normative” behavior, aka heterosexuality, is something that must be deconstructed and done away with. Queer Theory is a political and action-oriented agenda which does that by “uncoupling” all children from their most basic identity, their gender.

They believe that families and society program children to become heterosexual, so teachers use something called comprehensive sex education to “queer” early childhood education, meaning they treat all children as potentially homosexual and transgender.

• Activists insists that gender is a choice. But it doesn’t stop there—the ultimate goal is gender fluidity that changes on a whim, even day-to-day.

James Lindsay has an excellent series on “groomer schools” and the ideology behind them. Episode 55 is particularly instructive, featuring the 2019 paper by Hannah Dyer of Carleton University, Canada, called “Queer futurity and childhood innocence: Beyond the injury of development.” Within this consequential text is the idea that we return to innocence by eating the forbidden fruit of full knowledge and exploration of gender and sexuality so that we understand our identity in a ruptured, destabilized sense. If it sounds upside down and crazy, it is.

Note: if you haven’t read an academic paper recently, Critical Theorists write the most torturous text that exists. It’s a mixture of gobbledygook and run-on sentences built with words that defy pronunciation and probably can’t be found in a dictionary. A cynic would say they do this on purpose, so they can hide behind tricky rhetoric and speak in code. If anyone points out the horrors of what they’re saying, they blame the reader for taking it out of context.

3. Insist on Accountability

The indoctrination doesn’t stop with gender fluidity. Marxists work to remove the innocence of children by sexualization, meaning they push children to be sexually active through self-pleasuring, even in preschool. That’s why proponents on school boards fight so hard to keep parents out of the loop. Activists have planted graphic sex manuals in public and school libraries and keep them hidden from parents, while book selections are made by committees with no accountability.

Middle school teachers in California were instructed on how to recruit children into becoming transgender during a professional conference. Staff at Buena Vista Middle School in Salinas put their training into action by opening an Equality Club, also known as UBU as in “you be you,” for students during lunch break. They recruited an 11-year-old and convinced her to become a boy.

Jessica Konen, the child’s mother, said the teachers planted the idea that she was transgender and bisexual in her daughter’s mind, even though she did not understand those terms at the time. They gave her male pronouns and a new name, changing it in official records without telling Mom.

• The teachers recently hosted a workshop at the teachers association’s LGBTQ conference called “How We Run a ‘GSA’ [Gay-Straight Alliance] in Conservative Communities.” They bragged about using Google to stalk children and not keeping a roster in order to hide from parents.

When covid lockdowns hit, Konen’s daughter began remote learning and started to return to her “old self.” She transferred to a different district last year, and now goes by her original name and female pronouns, but is still confused about issues relating to her sexuality and gender. Konen has filed a lawsuit against the school district and the principal.

For the Win!

As a result, teachers have been placed on leave and the school district now prohibits teachers from monitoring students’ online activities. Staff must now show materials with “sensitive themes” to parents before sharing them with students. That’s progress! But according to Abigail Shire, who wrote “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters,” this is not a one-off.Transgender recruitment of children is a concerted effort by activists throughout the public school system.

4. Say No to Social & Emotional Learning

Marxists hate families, because moms and dads transfer culture and traditions to their children, give them their identities, and may even bestow privilege on them. Innocence and privilege (such as being white and having married parents) go hand-in-hand, according to this philosophy. Therefore, SEL or “social and emotional learning” is used to level the playing field.

• That’s why we hear stories about elementary school teachers forcing white children to apologize for their skin color, or,
• Teachers conducting “privilege walks” where children from traditional, middle class families are called out as being more privileged than others.
• Schools are even separating children based on race, and when parents complain at school board meetings about such things, they’re labeled “domestic terrorists”—which the Department of Justice has promised to prosecute.

A recent op-ed in VC Star, part of the USA Today network (see above), promoted the idea of eliminating families. “If California is ever going to achieve true equity, the state must require parents to give away their children,” wrote Joe Matthews. He says true equity could be achieved if the rich and poor swap offspring in order to dismantle white supremacy and “outdated gender norms.”

Surprisingly, Marxists abhor the legalization of gay marriage, because radicals must never feel accepted to ensure that the struggle never ends. As an example, President Biden’s declaration to fill the upcoming vacancy on the Supreme Court by a black female failed to impress Marxists–or the rest of the nation, apparently, as only 23 percent think it’s important.

5. Stand Against the Devil’s Wiles

If we were to summarize key components of the plan to pervert our children through their public education, it would look something like this:

1. Deconstruct their innocence (sexualize them)
2. Destroy the understanding of what is normal
3. Make queerness the child’s essence by taking away their gender identity 
4. Sever the link between parents and children
5. Thrust the revolution onto the backs of children who will grow into disaffected, unstable, and miserable adults

Why this Matters: We must be aware of the devil’s schemes, do whatever we can to expose them, and protect our children. God designed us to live as men and women, to marry and have children, and to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord—and this is in general, because not all people marry and reproduce, such as the Apostle Paul. 

As the body of Christ, we have an obligation to help each other in executing God’s mandate for families. This might mean something as simple as praying, but it also might mean attending local school board meetings and standing up for righteousness. The Apostle Peter said that we should not rail against dignities, but act like the angels who do not condemn or accuse. They report facts to God about what they see taking place on the earth without reviling or scolding in harsh, insolent, or abusive language. 

God is the judge. We trust Him to hold these people accountable, and He will also judge us as to whether or not we did what He asked us to do. Each person must decide this for themselves and discern His direction. God’s sheep hear His voice! 

How to Pray: Thank God for establishing this nation. Pray for people of faith to support each other in school board meetings and town councils, standing firm for proper education and government. Continue praying for full exposure of the schemes of the devil. Pray for the innocence of children and don’t give up or given in.

Eph. 6:11-12 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
