By now it should be obvious that a concerted and bipartisan effort is underway in Washington to escalate US involvement in the Ukraine war. This effort has been ongoing since Russia entered Ukraine three weeks ago. Today we enter into a new and dangerous phase, as US politicians send $13.6 billion in aid and $800 million in weapons to Ukraine—one of the most corrupt governments in Europe. This will have an incredible effect on skyrocketing prices in the US and put the world on the edge of nuclear war.
On Wednesday, President Zelensky of Ukraine addressed the US Congress. He got standing ovations on both ends of his Zoom speech, which included trite phrases, an emotional appeal for help, and a video montage complete with sappy violin soundtrack. Zelensky compared Ukraine’s situation to 9/11, MLK’s “I have a Dream” speech, Pearl Harbor, and said he wished President Biden were the leader of the world. He asked for:
- A no-fly zone over Ukraine (which would require US-backed fighters to attack the Russian military)
- Weapons and ammunition
- US to label Russians as war criminals
- Multiple new sanctions every week until the “Russian military machine stops”
- Create an association of responsible countries that will stop conflicts immediately
“We are fighting for the balance of Europe… to keep the planet alive,” Zelensky said. He requested that all American ports be closed for Russian goods, adding “Peace is more important than income.” This last statement seems illogical at best, since war is typically the most expensive endeavor a government undertakes.
Not so Fast
There is reason to believe that President Zelensky, a former comedian and actor, is in over his head. In the space of two days, he said Ukraine must accept that it won’t join NATO, while at the same time pleading for a no-fly zone. If he had conceded that bit about not joining NATO three weeks ago, we might not be in this position.
Top Republican lawmakers are completely supportive of Zelensky, who has taken on hero status. That includes some of our most reliably conservative voices such as Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who adds that a no-fly zone is “off the table at this point.” President Biden has assured us that he will not send in US troops.
A strong case can be made that sending in these billions of dollars in aid and weapons will escalate the conflict. Mr. Putin is determined to control Ukraine, which he believes is central to Russia’s national security, and may not simply walk away from the fight.
Last week, Putin placed the top two men at Russia’s FSB, the foreign intelligence branch, under house arrest. They failed to warn him that Ukraine would put up a fierce resistance. This is according to Andrey Soldatov, a respected source. Putin ran the FSB before he became president. Russia has hired mercenaries from Syria and Chechnya in order to beef up his forces. If Putin resorts to using chemical weapons, that will likely draw NATO nations into the conflict.
The two sides continue trying to negotiate a cease fire, but have so far been unable to reach a compromise.
Ukraine’s leader has asked Americans to sacrifice our financial security in exchange for peace, but Speaker Nancy Pelosi assures us that government spending is actually reducing the national debt. Whew! That’s a relief.
- President Biden agrees. He told Democrats at a retreat in Philadelphia, “I’m sick of this stuff” (the accusations that he is responsible for rising prices), gesturing with his hands to suggest he’d had it up to his neck.
- “The American people think the reason for inflation is the government spending more money. Simply not true.”
Both are blaming high prices and inflation on Putin, calling it “Putin’s gas hike,” and “Putin prices at the pump.”
Inflation is simply a drop in the price of money. When a government is dealing with massive debt and spending more than it collects through taxes, the only way to create more money is to borrow it or crank up the printing presses. The US has borrowed and printed money to finance wars throughout its history—from the Revolutionary War up to today. We have always survived the inflation, but this time the credibility of the US dollar is at stake. Currently, as the world’s currency, the “petrodollar” is used as the global means of exchange, but the Saudis are considering dumping the US dollar in favor of the Chinese Yuan.
If the rest of the world followed suit, that would be financially devastating.
Most people with even a basic understanding of economics know that Biden and Pelosi have it completely wrong. The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan enacted last March, is “the original sin” that caused inflation, according Obama Treasury official Steven Rattner.
- Between January 2021 and January 2022, consumer prices increased by 7.5 percent, and 7.9 percent for February. If calculated as was done under the Carter administration, the number is 13.3 percent.
- And that doesn’t include the inflation that’s coming, due to the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending package just passed by Congress, with more on the way if the US ramps up the war front.
Such a Deal!
While we are focused on Ukraine, the administration is fawning over Iran. The Washington Examiner has reported that Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, (IRGC) officers are actively plotting to murder former National Security Advisor John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, which constitutes an act of war. The Biden administration should be issuing indictments against these would-be assassins—the Justice Department knows who they are–however, President Biden is giving the Iranian regime a free pass because the administration wants to renew the nuclear deal.
Three members of the U.S. delegation quit the talks a few weeks ago due to their conviction that the lead delegate, Rob O’Malley, was giving Iran everything plus the kitchen sink, including:
- Removing all sanctions against Iranian terror commanders and institutions, plus those involved in Irans’ weapons of mass destructions programs and its terror operations.
- Weaker and shorter-term restrictions on Iran’s nuclear operations than O’Malley and his colleagues negotiated in the 2015 nuclear deal.
And because Iranian delegates refuse to sit in a room with Americans, a Russian diplomat is in charge of negotiating on our behalf!
The moment the deal is concluded, and without Congressional oversight, Iran will automatically receive $90 billion in sanctions relief and at least $50-55 billion in subsequent years from oil and gas sales since the new deal ends all sanctions on Iran’s energy sector.
Why this Matters: Our leaders continue to spend with abandon and act as though no one is paying attention to their dishonesty and incompetence.
Speaker Pelosi asked for a vote on that omnibus spending package—a whopping 2,741 pages long—without giving anyone time to read it. On page 1,556 is an earmark of $17 million “to build and maintain safe latrines” in developing countries. The package also includes a 21 percent increase in lawmakers’ Representational Allowance, which House members use for travel and expenses, plus staff salaries. Other monies are designated to fix racism, such as $995,000 for “Grid Resilience and Equity in the Energy Transition” research at the University of Massachusetts. According to UM faculty director, “The current energy system is inequitable, not just overseas but here in the US. The energy system is racist.”
Even more disturbing is the continual demise of Biden’s mental health. In an address to Democrats yesterday, President Biden told fellow Democrats that the First Lady’s husband has covid. (That would be him!) When corrected, Biden laughed along with the audience. Silly grandpa! It is Vice President Harris’s spouse, Doug Enhoff, who has covid. Biden also could not remember the state governed by his Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm (Michigan).
Nancy Pelosi tried to explain her opinions of Putin on Wednesday. She could not get through the answer without slurring and stumbling and searching for words. Pelosi is third in line for the presidency behind Kamala Harris, who is unable to talk about serious things without cackling. She keeps forgetting that Ukraine isn’t in NATO, which is the main point of Russia’s invasion and why the US isn’t obligated to send more aid to begin with.
No wonder world leaders no longer take the US seriously, and the Saudi prince recently refused to receive President Biden’s phone call.
How to Pray: May God turn back the troops and bring peace to Ukraine. Pray for the refugees and that the Church in eastern Europe will have a greater testimony because of this conflict. Pray for President Biden, VP Harris, and Speaker Pelosi, that they might be preserved and changed by the power of God. Pray that our lawmakers will seek for knowledge, wisdom, and discernment.
Is. 55:6-8 – Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Dear Lori
Many thanks for this. The Ukraine scenario is not what it seems. It is a red herring to distract attention form the awful things going on in other spheres such as vaccine harm and deaths and the attempt to gain financial control of the nations by the evil elites.
It is an attempt to ramp up the fear again after the push back in the truckers rallies which MSM made out to be ‘a small minority’, and to a make people obedient to the Satanic governments in power.
I believe the Ukraine to be in the hands of the Neo-Nazis via Zelenskyy who is Jewish, but a Jew who says he is a Jew but of the synagogue of Satan.
The while thing was too convenient and smacks of political theatre. I am trying to do a post on it.
Kind regards

Hi Lori and Thank you
If you have time and energy in your busy schedule, would you pray for me? To have healthy friendships. I don’t have much family. I really would like to be enjoying some joy and belonging even though the world players and many individuals are demonstrating immaturity, unreasonableness, or fearfulness. I’d like some healthy human belonging, and daily peace and joy, if it’s God’s will.
Warm regards
Michelle
