Dems Continue to Thwart National Security

President Trump visited the southern border in Texas on Thursday to highlight the need for increased security, including a wall across some sections of the 2,000-mile border. The Democrats have refused to give the President $5.7 billion in appropriations to pay for it, which has caused a partial government shut-down.

They also have made it known in no uncertain terms that they won’t budge .

The President invited House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to meet with him on Wednesday for further negotiations following an address to the nation Tuesday night. Trump said he walked out of the meeting when he asked Pelosi if she’d fund the wall if he re-opened the government. She responded, “No.”

The media falsely reported that Trump had a temper tantrum–which was disputed by several prominent Republicans.

Trump tweeted:

Cryin Chuck told his favorite lie when he used his standard sound bite that I “slammed the table & walked out of the room. He had a temper tantrum.” Because I knew he would say that, and after Nancy said no to proper Border Security, I politely said bye-bye and left, no slamming!

Pelosi followed up her insistence that a wall was immoral and too expensive by telling reporters, “It’s a luxury our country can’t afford under any circumstance.” Then later Pelosi argued that money should be spent on repairing roads along the border so “it’s easier for immigrants to enter the country.”

She went on to claim that illegal aliens killing Americans is “not a justification” for separating families and implementing increased security measures.

The Fake News media continues to rail against Trump, but their logic is falling apart as well. CNN contributor Ana Navarro rolled her eyes, sighed, and filed her fingernails on camera while conservative Steve Cortes described the murder of innocent Americans by illegals.

Cortes told Navarro, “You can do your nails. You know who can’t do their nails are people killed by illegal aliens who’ve been allowed to stay in this country because of leftist policies that people like you promote in so-called sanctuary cities.”

Navarro fired back at him and the two talked over each other for the next minute or so. He accused her of not caring; she replied, “I don’t have to care.”

CNN’s Jim Acosta did a report from McAllen, Texas, claiming there was no border crisis or imminent danger from migrants or smugglers–while walking along a wall of steel slats. Even after a day of Twitter-shaming, Acosta still didn’t understand how well he ignorantly proved the point: walls work!

As to the Schumer/Pelosi accusation of a “manufactured crisis,” Mexican authorities found 21 bodies in a border town near McAllen, casualties from a suspected gang battle. Seventeen of the bodies were burned. Officials said the area is “greatly fought over” by traffickers of arms, drugs, and humans.

The President said he believes there is no negotiating with Schumer and Pelosi. He added that he has the right to declare a national emergency to fix the problem and would do so if shut-down talks further deteriorate. 

Trump announced he is cancelling his trip to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum because of the “Democrats intransigence on Border Security and the importance of Safety for our Nation.”

Why this Matters: Compare the cost of Trump’s request for a wall—$5.7 billion—versus the amount we spend each year on illegal immigrants—$54 billion (2013). The Democrats simply do not have a valid argument.

The President continues to “troll” the other side, tweeting an old video of Obama calling for greater border security, and thanking him for his support. If Trump cannot get wall funding from Democrats and he uses the National Emergency designation to do so, it will be challenged. Democrats will take their case to a friendly jurisdiction and judge, who will rule the wall unconstitutional.

Eventually, the case will make its way to the Supreme Court. News outlets are reporting that Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, who missed three days of court this week following surgery, is going to resign soon. The Supreme Court already has a conservative majority—so things aren’t looking good for a Democrat victory there.

 

Winning is Easier When You Cheat

Judicial Watch won a settlement in California forcing the state and County of Los Angeles to clean up their voting rolls, which contain more than 1.5 million invalid names. Although federal law mandates that names of voters who have died, moved away or are unaccounted for be revoked after two general elections, neither the State of California nor LA County had done that for the past 20 years. What’s more, 11 of CA’s 58 counties have registration rates exceeding 100 percent, including LA County, which has more registered voters than adult US citizens.

Republican Roy Moore lost the special election in Alabama to fill Jeff Sessions’ Senate. He was accused of sexual misconduct that supposedly took place decades ago. But now it has come out that Moore was also defeated because Democrat operatives were working behind the scenes to sabotage his campaign.

• “Dry Alabama” was a scheme to link Moore to a fake anti-alcohol movement to “re-enact Prohibition and make Alabama dry again.” The group responsible is a cybersecurity company called New Knowledge—which claims to protect customers from social media disinformation attacks! Working on the campaign to smear Moore was Evan Corer, a progressive activist.
• New Knowledge’s first campaign against Moore was a “false flag” operation planting the idea that Moore was being promoted by Russians on social media.

Both of these projects were modeled after the disinformation campaigns carried out against Donald Trump in the 2016 election. A progressive group called Investing in Us gave New Knowledge $100,000 for each campaign against Moore.

Matt Osborne, a progressive activist who assisted in the “Dry Alabama” scheme, told the New York Times that the Democrats had no choice but to use lies and disinformation. He said they had a moral imperative to do whatever it takes to win.

Moore filed a defamation lawsuit against Leigh Corfman, one of his accusers, who has refused to appear for depositions. “Her refusal to comply with discovery has prejudiced Judge Moore and it is apparent that absent court investigation, Leigh Corfman will continue to violate the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure, conceal evidence and deny Judge Moore the documents and responses he is due under the law,” the court documents said.

Democrat Doug Jones, who won the 2017 special election, will be in office until 2021.

How to Pray: For truth to triumph, for Americans (especially the Church) to depart from evil, and for the Lord to judge on our behalf. Praise God his hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither is He deaf to our cries.
