Ousted Saudi Prince’s Strange Ties to Las Vegas

Gates-Alwaleed

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal with Bill Gates

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was one of the princes arrested in Saudi Arabia in a sweep by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in an effort to crack down on “criminality and corruption.” There are some very interesting facts about him that merit mentioning:

  • The charges against the Prince include money laundering, bribery, and extorting officials.
  • His investment company, Kingdom Holding, is a major shareholder in Time Warner cable, which owns CNN and a major portion of AOL. The Prince also owns (owned?) portions of Citigroup, Lyft (the Uber competitor), Twitter, Apple, 20th Century Fox, Euro Disney, and luxury hotels.
  • The Prince and Bill Gates own the top five floors of the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, the site from which a shooter allegedly fired on concert-goers, killing 58, on October 1. Floors 35-39 of that building are called the Four Seasons Hotel, which boasts its own private elevators and separate entrances.
  • From August 5-28, the Saudi Air Force booked an entire tower of the SLS hotel in Las Vegas. They participated in “realistic combat training,” at Nellis Air Force Base.
  • Prince Alwaleed tweeted to Donald Trump in December 2015, “You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America. Withdraw from the U.S. presidential race as you will never win.”
  • Trump tweeted back, “Dopey Prince wants to control our U.S. politicians with daddy’s money. Can’t do it when I get elected.”
  • Alwaleed donated $20 million each to Harvard and Georgetown and had assets worth $23.7 billion. He also tried to donate $10 million to the Twin Towers Fund after the 9/11 attacks, but was prevented by Mayor Giuliani. Some elements with the House of Saud were found guilty of sponsoring the attackers.
  • Alwaleed was a top donor to the Clinton Foundation.

Why this Matters: The official narrative of the Las Vegas shooting is full of holes, as has been pointed out in previous issues of this newsletter. There are stories now surfacing in the independent media that Prince Alwaleed is connected to the shooting and was in Las Vegas at the time. One shocking video taken of the Tropicana Hotel the night of the shooting shows a man being escorted through the hotel by U.S. law enforcement with machine guns shouting “Hands up!” You have to see it to believe it.

Pray for the Light of Truth to shine on our understanding of what happened in Las Vegas, for the healing of the victims, the comforting of the grieving, and that the Lord will judge the guilty.
