What God Expects When We’re Under Persecution

On Friday afternoon, President Biden passed judgment on mounted border patrol agents using their reins to do their jobs. The video and images from social media implied that agents used their reins as whips to keep Haitians from trespassing illegally.

Biden said the agents were wrong and will pay.

  • “It was horrible to see what you saw, to see people treated like they did—horses barely running them over people being strapped… It’s outrageous. I promise you those people will pay.”

He called for an investigation. Will the investigators find, as the photographer and eye witnesses have confessed, that the agents used the split reins to direct their horses, not to whip trespassers?

  • “Some of the Haitian men started running, trying to go around the horses,” photographer Paul Ratje said. “I didn’t ever see them whip anybody” with the reins, Ratje added, noting that the photos could be “misconstrued.”

The reins did not touch the Haitians, but you won’t find that correction in the media. And you won’t hear it from the President or his officials. Instead you will find people equating the incident to cruelties used during slavery.

The agents have been placed on leave pending an investigation, and horses will no longer be used to aid in protecting the border. The media will move on, having expertly lain the foundation of lies.

Sadly,we’ve come to expect this sort of miscarriage of justice. And that is just one instance of the actions that are destroying America. The FBI had a mole in the crowd on January 6, and only foreign media and the New York Times are reporting that the storming of the Capitol wasn’t planned in advance. The facts counteract the narrative and create problems for federal prosecutors who are claiming it was the “worst-ever assault on America” by right-wing Trump supporters.

No one would blame us if we yawn when the media is finally reporting some true, such as:

  • There really is some bad stuff on Hunter Biden’s laptop! Or,
  • Joe Biden owes $500,000 in unpaid taxes! Or,
  • Prosecutor John Durham finally indicted one person in connection with the Trump Russia hoax–even if that person was secretly working for the Democrat National Committee and Hillary’s 2016 campaign!

We know all too well that this information is unlikely to make a difference. As believers, we can’t become frustrated because of wicked people, but instead must remember that evil has to be exposed before vengeance can come–not from us–but from God Himself. Let’s look at just a few examples of the evil that continues to surface.

Above Top: One set of findings from Maricopa County audit.
Bottom: Gov. Doug Ducey says there will be no decertification of the election.

Five Deeds God will Judge—from this past week alone:

1. Ignoring unjust weights and balances.
The findings from the Maricopa County Forensic Audit were released Friday, showing 57,000 potentially fraudulent votes were counted. Instead of calling for a de-certification of the 2020 election results in Arizona, where Biden supposedly won by just 10,000 votes, the mainstream media either didn’t report the findings, or lied about it, saying the fraud was negligible because the official count and the hand recount were only off by a few hundred votes.

2. Enshrining Murder on Demand.
House Democrats voted to allow abortion until the moment a child is born. The measure passed 218 to 211. If it passes the Senate, Biden will sign this into law and overrule any individual laws enacted by the states to protect life in the womb.

3. Lying about the Border.
After telling America on Friday that most Haitians were refused entry into the US, DHS Sec. Mayorkas now says 12,000 or more have been released inside the US. The border is said to be closed, but the administration is doing everything to keep it wide open, including forbidding border wall construction that has already been paid for.

4. Dishonest Treatment of Opponents.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis led the way in establishing monoclonal antibody centers throughout his state to treat covid-19–because it brought down ER visits by 70 percent. Now, due to increasing requests by Republican governors, the Biden administration is limiting the supply. Christine Pushaw, press secretary for DeSantis told the Epoch Times,

  • “There is no evidence of a national shortage of monoclonal antibody treatments, and no apparent justification for rationing. The excuse given by the Biden administration was ‘equity’.”
Above: Recent Gallup Poll. Biden at 53 disapproval.

All of this is happening without our endorsement. We wake up every day wondering what new tragedy or outrage awaits our attention. We must not stay silent, but send emails and make phone calls to let our officials know what serving their constituents looks like. And this ain’t it.

Take heart, becausethe majority of the nation also abhors these actions. President Trump’s approval exceeds that of President Biden, whose approval is in “free-fall.”

  • According to NBC“A Gallup poll this week had Biden’s approval rating at 43 percent [Trump is at 48 percent]. Pew had him at 44 percent. And most other polls this month—though not all of them—also show the president underwater.”
  • Biden’s approval is down 14 points since he took office in January.

Remember that we answer to God, and this evil is not “on” us, it’s on them.Our godly reactions to this level of betrayal and persecution is important. The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12:19, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

We are to bless them which persecute us: bless, and curse not, and to repay to no man evil for evil.

Did you see the video clips coming out of Australia? In one, a police officer accosts a young woman by choking her for the offense of not wearing a mask. In another, six police swarm a couple and wrestle them to the ground because they’re unmasked. An elderly woman sitting alone on a park bench is arrested for not wearing her mask. And more vile examples of a police state continue to be exposed.

Bless those who persecute you. Don’t return evil for evil.

What about the people losing their jobs because they refuse the jab? New York has just passed a law saying if you’re fired for not getting vaccinated, you will not received unemployment benefits.
Bless those who persecute you. Bless and curse not.

We are to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. Paul’s words present a stark contrast to a worldly reaction. Abhor that which is evil and cleave to that which is good. Be patient in tribulation. As much as is possible, live at peace with all men. Don’t be overcome by evil, instead overcome evil with good.

Here is the entire chapter of Romans 12. Make it your prayer. May all who trust in Christ commit themselves to obedience, prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord and He has overcome the world.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it with simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

  1. I grew up on a farm and we had a horse, who would attack anything she thought was attacking her, but if we twirled the reins, she knew the rider was protecting her, so she would stay calm. I don’t know if these riders twirled the reins for a similar reason or not, but sure didn’t see whip marks on anyone, so view those reins as another fake story.
