At the Cliff’s Edge: VA Gov. Race

What do you call the last straw that breaks the camel’s back? Or the final card that causes the house to collapse? Or the last nerve that causes mothers to have a breakdown? For the US this week, it is the governor’s race in Virginia where the parents standing against the hijacking of education by the unhinged left will take their last stand. It’s either return to some sense of educational normalcy by electing Glenn Youngkin as governor, or choose Terry McAuliffe–and go over the cliff’s edge into Marxism, CRT and transgenderism.

Last week, in my videos, I reported on the horrific men’s beauty pageant at Hazard High School in Hazard, Kentucky. The high school principle, who also serves as the town’s mayor, led an assembly where boys cross-dressed in women’s lingerie and gave lap dances to the staff. Some of the photos are quite graphic, and the male staffers were certainly enjoying themselves.

Another startling revelation was the field trip taken by Wilton Manors Elementary to Rosie’s, a gay bay in Broward County, Florida. Chaperone and school board member Sarah Leonardi said she was honored to go along. The LGBTQ bar and grill features “Rhoda Cowboy,” “Ivana Hooker,” and other fun menu items with a strip-tease theme.
How’s that for an education?

Virginia’s Terry McAuliffe famously said during a town hall campaign event that parents should stay out of the schools’ curriculum. He joined the National Association of School Boards in calling for the FBI to prosecute parents who objected, labeling them “domestic terrorists.”

Now it’s Virginians who will decide if that’s a good call by our ruling elite. Youngkin leads by 53 to 44. We all wonder if the official results will reflect those numbers.

Other major decisions are being made today in Minneapolis:

  • Should police be defunded and replaced by the Department of Public Safety? Apparently, the new department will have mental health workers respond to calls and could include police officers “if necessary to fulfill its responsibilities for public safety.”
  • A second ballot question asks whether to replace the city’s weak mayor/strong city council system with the conventional protocol that gives the mayor authority over daily operations. Incumbent Mayor Jacob Frey, who has been particularly squishy in defending the city against crime, is facing 17 opponents who want his job.

Biden Blowouts

Although Democrats were hoping for a slam-dunk on the $1.75 trillion budget reconciliation bill, they just suffered a gut punch. West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin (D) said he will not support the spending bill until there is greater clarity about its impact on the national debt and the economy.

  • “Simply put, I will not support a bill that is this consequential without thoroughly understanding the impact that it will have on our national debt, our economy and most importantly all of our American people,” Manchin said at a news conference Monday afternoon.

The final wording of the bill hasn’t even been drafted yet. Nancy Pelosi told us during the Obama Administration that Congress would have to pass a bill before we’d know what was in it. Now it seems that lawmakers must vote to approve a bill that hasn’t even been fully written.

The COP26 climate change talks in Glasgow, Scotland and the G20 meeting in Rome are a dismal failure, as leaders from China–the world’s biggest polluter, Brazil, and Russia did not show up. Apparently they had better things to do. Meanwhile, President Biden and his fellows are proud of an overhaul to the global tax system that will generate $150 billion annually in additional taxes on top corporations. It would require passage in the US Senate to be made into law.

No Joe, We Don’t Like your Agenda

Perhaps some Americans are waking up to the disastrous Biden agenda. According to NBC, 71 percent of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction—and just 37 percent believe Biden is competent and effective as president. The same poll shows that Americans believe the Republican Party would do a better job in these areas:

  • Border security +27
  • Inflation +24
  • Crime +22
  • National Security +21
  • Economy +18
  • Getting things Done +13

In the areas of handling climate change, coronavirus, education, and abortion, respondents thought that Democrats would do a better job by 10 to 24 points.

Why this Matters: Biden’s approval has fallen eight points since August. If this trend continues, there will likely be a “red wave” sweep of the congressional races in 2022.

How to Pray: Thank God for placing stumbling blocks that have made it impossible to implement the worst of the Biden agenda. Continue to lift up those who may lose their jobs because of the mandates, and pray for the courts to do the right thing in protecting our rights under the Constitution. May God bless the people of Virginia with a fair election and an end to educational indoctrination. May the people in MN make the right choices.

Ps. 83:1-3, 17-18- Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
